The Beeches Hotel  

The manager on the day I left was nice and friendly. The room was downstairs but very comfortable bed. Shower was a bit poor but it was clean and there were plenty of clean towels. Lots of space for luggage.

The person who greated me on the day of arrival made me wait about 5-10 minutes before she turned up to front desk after I pressed the bell a couple of times and didn't appologise for my wait. I would have appreciated help with my bags but it was not offered and I found her manner to be quite rude in general unfortunately. Also the ceiling and walls in my room were quite thin so I fouund I could hear what everyone above and next to me was doing. TV and shower could be heard from below very easily, but I put that down as normal in an older building.

Due to the poor weather conditions we were concerned that we might not make the journey so rang ahead and were reassured that we would not be charged for the booking if this was the case. This alleviated our worries as we tackled the bizarre (for April!), snowy conditions on our route. Upon our arrival we were met with a warm and friendly welcome from staff and our room which was clean and fresh was even more welcoming being warm and cosy with all the facilities we needed. We spent a very restful night and woke to an extremely tasty full English breakfast which was made even more enjoyable as our son and his fiancee, who have recently moved to Grimsby, were able to join us at a reasonable cost. We have already recommended this hotel to family and friends who will also be making the trip in the near future.

clean, comfortable room with good lighting and comfortable bed -sometimes hard to find. Staff very helpful, flexible and friendly. Pleasant public area, free wi-fi. Altogether a very relaxing stay at a very good price. Highly recommend.

The way to the hotel was clearly sign posted, which was very helpful. The restaurant was very good. The rooms were comfortable and very clean.

The location was ideal as we had to deal with my late aunt's house which was close by. Surpisingly comfortable, as, from the road, it just looks like an older style house, but once one arrives, there is a large modern bedroom extension at the rear. Have stayed at local Premier Inn previously and the Beeches' price was similar but slightly cheaper for b & b and the Inn was on the opposite side of town - too far away. Friendly manageress and staff, very willing, comfortable modern room, tasty breakfast, and very helpful in all respects.

Arrived back Monday night to find wine glasses from previous night still there and bed not made properly, just covered up. Towels not changed, just as we left them, although had been changed night before.

The food was amazing!!!!!!! and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The rooms are big, the bed is soft and very very clean. I 've been travelling every month and visit a different b and b and this one really stands out.
