the fact I had to take the toilet lid off to stop it flushing ,the fact the bedside light did not work, the fact the radio did not work the milk had to be changed as it was out of date ,and curdled my tea ,the kettle had to be changed ,as it tainted the water ,so could not drink the tea and as there was only one tea bag did with out in the end ,the breakfast was really ,meagre and very poorly cooked , it was suppose to be three star hotel and I paid 150 pounds for the two nights felt ashamed as my friends fared no better in their rooms ,and as I booked on their behalf feel embarrassed about it .shall get in touch Grimsby's tourist board and tell them just what I think of the beeches hotel.
Compact but clean, comfortable room. Newish clean and modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast included in price, nicely cooked and presented. Choice of full English or vegetarian option, continental, toast, fruit salad, all made to order plus all the usual juices, cereal and yogurt on a buffet table. Smart and modern 'boutique' style decor downstairs. Staff friendly and helpful.
Mattress a bit hard. Not in a particularly nice area and quite a noisy road outside but was only using hotel as a base whilst attending a wedding and visiting relatives so this wasn't too much of an issue.
Food not allowed in room despite saying room service. Bed was only okay Wi-Fi didn't work Breakfast portions are small
Staff listened to our requirements and made efforts to work around our other plans.
The food and service . Room comfortable.Quite area.
Bedise lamp not working and WC flush not working properly
The staff were friendly. Sandy the receptionist/bar lady was really nice and outgoing. Great place to stay.
Breakfast finished at 9am on a Sunday, and checkout by 10.30, very disapointing!!
Small bedroom Tiny bathroom Not very clean
The staff.very serious and not very friendly.they made feel uncomfortable
Clean, friendly staff on arrival; necessary after 7 hrs in the car. Bedroom facilities were recently refurbished and well done. Suited my stay.
For what it was I felt it was a touch expensive. Some staff training is needed. I would have liked a table to work at with my colleagues and the staff didn't want to clear one.
A well run hotel in a quite residential area. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent English breakfast, room well furnished clean and tidy.
Very friendly staff , nice clean good sized room. Good choice of breakfast, excellent full English. Would stay again.
Knowingly Gave me a room that absolutely stunk due to a drainage problem! Then proceeded to tell me that was the only room available before magically finding another room ( which was tiny and the bathroom was a cupboard) then in morning waitress had no issue complaining to me that she 'ended up in that room' last night- they were therefore prepared to charge me £70 for a disgusting smelly room whilst the staff slept in comfort! Not great customer service ! Wouldn't recommend!
Very friendly and helpful staff, who persuaded the chef to reopen the kitchen after I arrived ten minutes after they'd stopped serving food; lovely food in a nice setting; very comfortable room; good location - 15 mins at most by taxi to the station
Couldn't get wifi to work but I'm sure if I'd asked they would have been able to sort it out
Enjoyed overall stay breakfast was good and staff very friendly and helpful have stayed twice now would definitely stay again. :)
The room we had was clean and quiet so great seeing as we had our little one. wasn't the biggest room in the world but for one night we managed ok,
not the friendliest of staff member that checked us in and served us breakfast. the full English was somewhat lacking and only just warm but ok.
bed comfortable Breakfast was quick and nice Staff were helpful
Bath had paint splashed on it Bathroom taps and shower could do with an upgrade carpet was dirty no consistency of service hard to locate the light switch for my room
Very quite in our room.
felt we were checking into a prison cell the way orders were barked at us i.e if your caught smoking in the room you will be fined, a fair comment but could have been put better, do you want an evening meal because we are about booked up.charming, make sure you take your key with you as there is no one to let you in after 11.00pm and they wasent kidding place was in darkness, the room wasen't to bad but the carpet was absolutley disgusting, it was so soiled the car park was cleaner,( room 11 ) when asked on checking out would we like to make any comments I brought this up only to get the reply, well I will let management know but don't expect anything to be done about it, my reply to this was , you asked for comments , I have politley given one wether anything gets done about it or not is not my concern, I doubt I will return here ever.
location for us is good
Room smelt awful Breakfast was small, didn't ask for full breakfast asked for two poached eggs on toast (no toast, only one egg). Asked for toast and they weren't happy. Also on check out wasn't asked if I had a nice stay or was the room nice, nothing, just this is how much it is. This hotel used to be run by a family who were lovely...I will not be staying here again
Unfortunately the hotel has changed hands and the nice family run hotel seems to have gone. Staff trying their best but facilities in rooms were not up to the standard they used to be a shame because the location is very nice. Cooked breakfast was fine but again very basic.
I occasionally work in this area and most of the places I have stayed in are locked into a 1966 time warp with futuristic prices. Not here. The staff were friendly, the meals were good and the room was very comfortable. The beeches will now be my default stay when I stay in the area again. Well done all
Staff very helpfull , breakfast good
First room allocated hadn't been cleaned , was soon allocated a different room by staff , although smaller but for same cost !?
Location for the hospital is excellent The staff try hard and are very nice but seem overworked.
My room was very small and though it was a double room it would have been a nightmare if my husband stayed as it was hardly bigger than a single really. Plus it only had a shower in it - which was disappointing. Also it is a bit tired and dated. The premier inn is much cheaper and more modern and spacious. I only booked this hotel due to its proximity to the hospital
Reception staff wasn't particularly helpful
Asking for toast seemed a bit of a task, we should be offered it at time of ordering breakfast
