The spacious rooms, and the décor. Despite showing signs of age having a room with a chandelier and fireplace and loads of room was lovely. Close to the railway station, walking distance to town centre.

No reading lamps on the bed, the internet was patchy in the room but worked fine in the sitting room. Lots of parking but a bit difficult with entry and exit onto a busy road.

It was clean and the staff were attentive.

Our room had quite a few damp patches and would have benefited from redecoration to modernise it. Great potential.

The room was very large and very clean. Breakfast room is nice and breakfast was excellent. We stayed here before heading into Belfast and it was very close without being in the city. Easy to find.

Pleasant staff large room with four poster bed and fireplace more of a suite than just a room excellent breakfast

Two small matters which was disappointing to an otherwise lovely B & B - Place mats on breakfast table looking very grubby. Complimentary tray had no biscuits or chocolates just the empty packets! I'm sure this was just an oversight. Didn't have time to bring it to staff attention,

Location for north coast and Belfast/Antrim visits. Clean guesthouse, attentive staff, good breakfast

Our room had been used by a smoker - which I think was against guesthouse policy so not their fault. Bed could have been a bit comfier, but it was OK. The decor and fittings are worn in places, but functional.

    Quiet area Breakfast was good

Stayed here for family wedding in nearby hotel. The owner was very welcoming whilst showing us to our room. We were then presented to a room with double bed and a single bed with faded brown bed covers. The bed and cover had seen better days. The carpet was screwed down - with screws! The TV only had channel 4 to watch, so choice was limited! There was no chair in the room so I had to sit on the single bed, on doing this with my back against the wall the bed started to move in the direction of the double bed and TV, I rectified this on a few occasion then simply had to give up and look out the window. I proceeded down stairs and had a look in what used to be a sitting room only to be presented with the smell of diesel. I took a walk to the back hall of this guest house to be faced with a very dirty kitchen with an overflowing bin and old stained mattresses and left over bed frames stacked up, wondering if this was something similar that I had just slept on. I am still wondering? best not to think about it. On the morning of our departure another guest had tried to take a shower and the steam had escaped to the smoke alarm so I had to spend time standing on the doorstep whilst the alarm has to be reset. I then decided a coffee may ease the situation so I proceeded to go back to my room and boil the kettle. It boiled for 2 seconds then cut off. I held my finger down on the switch whilst it boiled in the hope that I would not get electrocuted. This was an experience. And No, I will not be returning

Staff very friendly, chatty and helpful. Good wifi connection in a very comfortable room and the breakfast in the morning was first class, well cooked well served and plenty of it!

The bathroom was in need of a bit of a refurb, and the lino on the floor was a bit of a mess, not particularly well fitted and had a couple of holes in it. Not really a problem and the room was very clean so it didn't really put me off.

    Breakfast was good

Shower wouldn't stay clipped to wall, so had to hold it whilst showering. This was the same in both rooms we had. In need of repair and refurbishment.

Booked on internet for one night at Beechfield but on arrival was shown to the same owners property next door called Ashfield. This place could be likened to a badly rundown hostel. We spent as little time as possible inthe place. Got up for breakfast to be told there were no eggs left. This "guesthouse" deserves no place on any self respected web site advertising accommodation.
