On the banks of the River Foyle, City Hotel has a fine restaurant, modern fitness centre and free on-site parking. The 4-star hotel offers wonderful views of the river and Derry’s historic Guildhall.

The owner and staff were very hands on and attentive to our needs!
Derry is just an OK city.
Based 10 minutes from downtown Derry lovey peaceful place to stay. Helpful friendly staff that made the night there special.
The lift was a tad old and slow.
Bathroom needed updating
The food was excellent, as were the staff. We had a beautiful room. My only regret was that I didnt take more time to delve into the history of the hotel. This was my own fault as there were great displays available.
Location as we were attending a wedding
tranquil setting, peacefull, staff
Beautiful period rooms, huge comfortable bed, welcoming atmosphere. Large grounds with nice walks in them. I liked the idea of staying in the same hotel (perhaps even in the same room??) as at least two US Presidents!
Peacefulness beautiful grounds
Hotel in a lovely setting with country walks within the grounds. Friendly staff.
Had to keep the window open all night because there was no air conditioning. Would have been nice to know that there was a wedding on at the hotel during our stay as this meant the bar etc was very busy.
free upgrade to a very nice and elegance room, 40 days travelling in UK and never forget for the such short stay, especially thanks for the reception lady for her friendly suggestion
to enlarge the stand bath would be perfect
An enjoyable weekend spent in a peaceful setting. Reception staff were very welcoming and the room and breakfast were of a high standard. Highly recommended!
The ambience of the hotel was pleasant, attractive and restful.Enjoyed the high standard of the nightly piano playing during dinner. Excellent cuisine.
Entering the bath for a shower or especially exiting it afterwards with no safety handles to grab if needed is a potential hazard and could lead to serious accidents.
We were at a wedding & when returned to our room it was freezing cold! The heat had been on when we had dropped out luggage off! When I said to the lady at desk the next morn she just said you's were in the older part of the hotel & it needed to be reset. I had went up 2 reception but there was no one there so couldn't do anything about it! Def not worth the £125 we paid 4 the room & was very basic & small.
Beautiful setting, stunning grounds, wonderful old world charm, staff very helpful and pleasant.
Just out of town for visiting Derry in quiet rural location. Large bedroom with views of gardens on two sides. Calm bright conservatory style dining room with superb food and unobtrusive friendly service. Good range of breakfasts not just the usual. Very good reception staff. Easy parking. Free Wifi.
On the Saturday night music from wedding kept one of us awake until after 1 am and there was evidence of over-indulgence by guests still present, despite hard work of staff overnight, in the lift the next morning.Probably wouldn't have stayed a second night had we known but a wedding free venue elsewhere would not be guaranteed.
Setting is lovely
Historic, beautiful old manor house.
Wish we had been in old rooms rather than new (though the new were fantastic, I was there for the old). But, I didn't realize that maybe I should have requested my preference in advance.
All of our stay at Beech Hill was excellent.Highly recommended. To all to try.
Nothing not to like .
Location was excellent, only £5 in a cab to the centre of the city. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Set in 32 acres of ground plenty of pleasant walks. Recommend an evening meal.
Price of drink in lounge bar a bit expensive.
The grounds were beautiful
Restaurant was amazing, and the decor was awesome.
Everything, staff excellent, surroundings excellent, place excellent Would recommend this stay to everyone
No a thing
a beautiful old Edwardian country house with extensive grounds and well kept walks and gardens
The staff was amazing and went out of their way to take care of us. Dinner was wonderful in the hotel restaurant and we enjoyed a peaceful walk through grounds and woods around the hotel after dinner. I don't recall if they advertised it but the hotel has an awesome little museum in the hotel dedicated to the US Marines who were billeted there during WWII, guarding US Naval Operating Base Londonderry.
