Beautiful period rooms, huge comfortable bed, welcoming atmosphere. Large grounds with nice walks in them. I liked the idea of staying in the same hotel (perhaps even in the same room??) as at least two US Presidents!

Hotel in a lovely setting with country walks within the grounds. Friendly staff.

Had to keep the window open all night because there was no air conditioning. Would have been nice to know that there was a wedding on at the hotel during our stay as this meant the bar etc was very busy.

The ambience of the hotel was pleasant, attractive and restful.Enjoyed the high standard of the nightly piano playing during dinner. Excellent cuisine.

Entering the bath for a shower or especially exiting it afterwards with no safety handles to grab if needed is a potential hazard and could lead to serious accidents.

We were at a wedding & when returned to our room it was freezing cold! The heat had been on when we had dropped out luggage off! When I said to the lady at desk the next morn she just said you's were in the older part of the hotel & it needed to be reset. I had went up 2 reception but there was no one there so couldn't do anything about it! Def not worth the £125 we paid 4 the room & was very basic & small.

Just out of town for visiting Derry in quiet rural location. Large bedroom with views of gardens on two sides. Calm bright conservatory style dining room with superb food and unobtrusive friendly service. Good range of breakfasts not just the usual. Very good reception staff. Easy parking. Free Wifi.

On the Saturday night music from wedding kept one of us awake until after 1 am and there was evidence of over-indulgence by guests still present, despite hard work of staff overnight, in the lift the next morning.Probably wouldn't have stayed a second night had we known but a wedding free venue elsewhere would not be guaranteed.

    Historic, beautiful old manor house.

Wish we had been in old rooms rather than new (though the new were fantastic, I was there for the old). But, I didn't realize that maybe I should have requested my preference in advance.

Location was excellent, only £5 in a cab to the centre of the city. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Set in 32 acres of ground plenty of pleasant walks. Recommend an evening meal.

Price of drink in lounge bar a bit expensive.

The staff was amazing and went out of their way to take care of us. Dinner was wonderful in the hotel restaurant and we enjoyed a peaceful walk through grounds and woods around the hotel after dinner. I don't recall if they advertised it but the hotel has an awesome little museum in the hotel dedicated to the US Marines who were billeted there during WWII, guarding US Naval Operating Base Londonderry.

    Can't think of a thing

We loved the peaceful, idyllic grounds and the cozy interiors. The restaurant food was the best we had in Northern Ireland. Did not hesitate to return to the hotel each night for dinner and drinks. Our room and bath were very large and comfortable. If we return to Northern Ireland, we will make Beech Hill our home base with its easy acces to all areas of the country.

    Location and grounds beautiful.

Room and bathroom decor quite dated, did not look like rooms on website. Not even a biscuit on the tea tray.
