Beech Hill Hotel  

Loved the quaintness, the peace & quiet, our gorgeous 4 poster bed and mostly the food was absolutely excellent! The grounds are beautiful, we walked them on two occassions, love the water wheel, the ponds and bridges and the two horses we spotted also. It was perfect for my birthday break, we were treated very well by all the staff, especially Roy! My desert came with a chocolate Happt Birthday message piped on the plate.Despite the age of the hotel, which is a Manor house, it was spotlessly corner and I am very fussy. I tend to check behind furniture etc and the cleaners here do an excellent job. The family who own the hotel are very friendly, we met Connor and Brenda and they were both lovely. We will not hesitate to come back and I have already recommended it to a lot of friends.

The only small thing was that I didnt like having to wait in the lounge after ordering dinner, until it was ready to be served, before they took you into the restaurant. It wasnt like it was full in there.

Staff helpful and friendly.

I didnt like the room that was used for dinner and breakfast as it lacked the same character as the rest of the hotel. It would also help to have some background music as it was very quiet.

We ate off the Table d'Hote menu and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The breakfast menu was very impressive - one of the best selections in any hotel I have stayed in. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and I would hope to stay there again.

The people and the food

I really enjoyed my time in the Beech Hill Hotel, but what made the trip extra special was the friendly staff and the lovely room. The food was also great and there was event entertainment in the Bar. So all in all a great experience.

We found the staff, location and hotel to be excellent. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quirky. The grounds have a lovely and peaceful setting. It is ideally located for a visit to Derry and the border town of Buncrana. The breakfast room is very comfortable and the views are beautiful. We would recommend anyone interested in wanting to enjoy a relaxing, peaceful and pleasant short break to book with the hotel.

friendliness of the staff -- extremely obliging and wanting to make our stay as pleasant as possible.The service was personal and of the highest standard-- This was so much better than staying in a modern group hotel Food was excellent and the grounds were lovely for walks . Also very close to the City for culture/ leisure/ shopping and to beautiful scenery in Northern Ireland and also easy access to Donegal Ideal spot for tourists Can't recommend highly enough

Stayed as part of family wedding party. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Despite being the 4th wedding in 4 days received impeccable service. Food was delightful and general feeing of relaxation and comfort

The hotel is in a beautiful setting just ten minutes from Derry. Very relaxing spot.

Period features, old style hotel, away from nightlife, beautiful surroundings

Could hear adjoining rooms and corridor noises.We had very ignorant people who kept knocking on the adjoining door. We were not making excessive noise.
