Dog friendly parking bathroom great breakfast
Window catch didnt secure properly, so ill-fitting window rattled all night. Dinner dance disco music in full blast under our bedroom.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very nice and service was good.
Windows didn't close properly cobwebs on the lights green mould on ceiling in the bathroom shower leaked everywhere didn't even get a new toilet roll waited 20 minutes to be served when we first walked in
breakfast fantastic choice, staff very freindy and helpful lovley plce to stay
dinning room a little cold in the morning and feather pillows
Cosy and warm Friendly bar Breakfast Staff friendly and welcoming Cleanliness Value for money
Pillows flat Could do with a de-clutter behind reception desk
The young girl who showed us to our room
The double room the size of a single, the noisy ventilation system, the preference of the staff in having a conversation amongst themselves rather than responding to our request to check out!
The staff and an excellent breakfast
In comparison to other hotels I have stayed I expected a larger double room and a room that was more modernised for the price.
Breakfast was ok
No heating in bedrooms, asked staff to put it on which they failed to do until I asked again later that day. We were right at the top if the building, doors were awkward to lock. Bath was grubby. Seemed very basic for the money we paid.
I was pleasantly surprised to be given the option of gluten free bread and sausages for breakfast and although we did not have our evening meal s in the hotel, we were told that they could cater for gluten free requirements.
Although very good value for money you must be prepared to walk 20 to 25 mins to reach the minster or get a taxi which was approx £5.00
We liked everything
Pleasant staff good breakfast menu Veggie friendly comfortable rooms not very far from York Centre
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and we would book again.
Lovely looking, family style hotel.
Broken shower Noisy heating system all night Overpriced dinner Vinegary pouched eggs Overall disappointed and overpriced for what it is.
Staff were very nice and welcoming, breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
Couple of bulbs had gone in room but were changed as soon as we asked.
Friendly Staff very helpful and welcoming Breakfast was lovely
I think its needs updating with more modern theme, the walls seemed paper thin you could hear quite a lot. Other than that I would recommend
Lovely staff beautiful breakfast very clean room always helpful made you feel very welcome
Beds and beautiful breakfast
Had a brilliant 3 course meal for;£15 a head excellent value for money
Staff are very friendly. Food is good. Will use this hotel again
Friendly helpful staff, good grub, comfy bed.
Nowt not to like.
Staff unbelievably indifferent and cold.
Convenient for York. Staff helpful.
Hotel bit tired. Never been in a hotel where beds never made up or changed. Lack of place to hang bath sheets to dry - only single hook behind door. Towels never changed. They did silly things like change mugs that didn't need changing but didn't make up the beds or empty bin.
The room was comfortable and I would say the whole place was pretty average.
Breakfast very average, boiled mushrooms which went cold after returning the breakfast because they had omitted to provide any eggs. The place was ok but needs a lick of paint. Mould in the shower cubicle and a dead spider and someone else's hair in the corner of the bedroom.
Vague odour of cooking. Was further from York centre than I realised.
The place needs renovating. We stayed in hotels and B&B's for 3 weeks and this was by far the worst accommodation. It really does need some money spent on it, as it has the potential to be an attractive hotel. We were very disappointed.
