Location near the NEC Price
Short staffed at times No hot water one morning Ignored by bar staff when waiting to be served. No management presence to resolve issues.
very helpful and friendly staff, and simple down to earth rooms and excellant food, bar was useful and outside tables made it nice during the hot weather. Renovations did not cause a problem and good to see that extra rooms were needed as shows business was good
My wife and I cannot think of anything adverse
Good bar and restaurant area Plenty of parking in builders yard at rear
Bedrooms nothing like photograph bathroom small Dimly lit corridor and bottom of stairs One of the fire escapes out of use due to building works - does this comply with fire safety regulations?
This place needs a visit from the fire service they are breaking fire regs
Clean Room and Parking
No Wifi though it was advised as available Poor staffing levels - 2 girls and 1 man doing bar / reception and food at busy evening times A Manager who was out of his depth at busy evening times
Small room size but adiquit
No wifi working
Good location with a good pub attached.
No Wi-Fi, despite being advertised as having this facility
Hotel was very nice and comfy .it was lovely and quiet and the weather was hot. When the refurb is finished it will be a lovely place to stay.
trying to have a drink in the bar was very noisy with too many people watching the football and tennis cheering and shouting
food, beds, condition of grounds.
Although it has clearly seen better days, the room itself was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast. Minimal sign of items that normally constitute a continental breakfast.
Everything but location
Good food, staff helpful.
Isolated and no appeal.
In Coventry for a trade show at the Ricoh Arena, this was the closest hotel to the venue, 5 minute drive, room was fine, no frills.
The bedroom, although very small was clean and nicely laid out. The cost of drinks was comeptitive
The hotel was extremely tired, the window in the bedroom nearly fell out due to dry rot, the hotel carpets in the bar area, very stained and dirty. In fairness the hotel needs a refurbishment and looks as though this is happening. The pictures of the hotel on the website I believe are overly flattering
Worst hotel ive stayed in very dirty and poor staff got charged for full english even though we only had egg on toast
Pleasant and helpful staff and tidy rooms, nice location and surroundings.
Some of the furniture downstairs was very badly ripped, desperately in need of TLC. Food on the floor from previous night. At first glance the building work does not make the hotel look very attractive.
Good bar area and good, yet basic room.
Staff were friendly but there was only one member of staff running the check in desk, bar area and attached grill. Sheets had a stain, kettle dirty and cups tea stained.
The staff were extremely helpful.
Noise when trying to work and sleep.
the dirty old toaster and old bread for continental breakfast.
it was a building site, really dirty rooms, doors didn't lock, was told it belonged to a Pakistani man with no name. worst place i have ever stayed.
window handle fell off shower not working just toast for breakfast
we booked again after having stayed there 2 years previously, we were very disapointed this time, the place has really become very unkept, the service has gone downhill, we will not be visiting again
I loved the location and parking facilities. Internet was working brilliantly. It was a good short trip. I would use it again.
Breakfast was a bit simple but it was ok for the value. The doors (room) could not be locked from the inside (anyone could have walked inside the room as next to me was an extension build and people walked that way).
The room was cold no heating and we were not informed until the evening that there was a problem. We were situated on the end of the building were construction is on going. Once in the room we had a window into the new building and the builders were storing items outside the window. They had music blaring and were constantly moving timber around it was horrendous. I would advise anyone using this place to not take room 14, if this is given to you return the key and leave, unless you wish to share your time with the builders. At check out when I asked for my bill they told me it was £55, when I told them I had booked through booking.com and it was £40 they tried to tell me it was because there were 2 of us, I said yes I know but on the booking it still said £40 per night and that was with 2 people. I eventually got the bill to £40 but am asking booking.com for a full refund and to get them to send one of their representatives to stay in room 14 for the night, checking in at 14. 00 hours and opening the curtains onto the extention.
Staff were friendly
Bedrooms could be more updated and modernised
