Excellent hotel, extremely friendly and first class service. Highly recommended
Breakfast times could have been a bit later at the weekend
Quiet, good food, comfortable room
Unlimited wifi most useful in shortlisting houses to view. Very comfortable and spacious rooms to work in. Beautiful gardens , plenty of car parking. A nice quiet location. Very helpful owner who gave a lot of assistance in making good recommendations of various trades people etc.
I did not like the low lighting in the suite. Can stand these dim engery saving bulbs. LEDs please!
A very nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, a good nights sleeps and most important one of the best breakfasts I can remember eating!.
One very small point . The water pressure from the Shower is not enough, Which is strange as there is plenty of pressure from the Bathroom taps. Please improve my showering experience!
The litte nucky in the garden were we sat every night for peace and quiet with a bottle of wine thank goodness the evening were fine.
The bed meals costly no variation. Wedding Sat took the whole hotel we had to have our meals in a side room.Hotel in the back of beyond will not be going there again.
Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable room
Big wedding venue and leaves you feeling a bit pushed out when wedding function
the setting was amazing and the garden was beautifull
bed was very uncomfortable and was surprised that the bed linen was not ironed and the pillows had no life in them at all
The location and setting of the hotel was so idylic, amazing veiws, and not too far from places to visit. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Rooms were very clean and everything that you need was there, beds so comfy didnt want to get up. Breakfast very tasty and plenty of choice. Would highly recomend !
There was nothing to dislike at all.
homely appearance and lived up to expectations
toll bridge to gain entry to area
Excellent setting and warm genuine attentiveness of hosts. Room very comfortable and breakfasts cooked to perfection. Did not eat in in evening so cannot comment views from the main reception rooms and bedrooms in the main building made staying a excellent experience and one to go back for
The room originally allocated was into in the main building but in one of the detached accommodation blocks. The view from the window was a wall just a few feet away and frankly claustrophobic. This type of room fine for a overnight business type traveller looking for a bed and little else but not for someone wanting to enjoy a break in the country
The location the ambience the staff and the service. A comprehensive wine list and excellent coffee! Breakfast was extremely good. There was a wedding whilst we were there but every effort was made to ensure that we were looked after.
Location and size of site. Atmosphere Breakfast Friendliness of owner and staff. Lots of parking
Although clean stains on bed sheets was off putting. Stains on seating at breakfast.
From start to finish we were treated as if we were special. It was very nice to see the owner mucking in with the staff. Always a good sign. Beautiful setting. Although gardens a bit disappointing. So much scope for a beautiful rambling walk, but laid only to lawn.maybe work in progress!
The only problem was with other guests letting their front doors slam both late at night and very early in the morning. Maybe a slow return system fitted to doors would rectify this.
The location is very rural although the hotel gardens are very formal. Easy parking.
The food in the restaurant was poor - new potatoes cooked in a way that removed any flavor. The gardener started a lawnmower at 7am after a night when we all had our windows wide open. (I spoke to the front desk -"oh he wanted to start early so he could leave early") Characterless bar and terrace area Everything is set up to cater for weddings (and when I mean set up, it's just that, endless tables all laid out perfectly). Makes the place look and feel empty. Both soap dispensers were empty. the room was dusty. There's too many corners being cut despite a glamorous appearance
friendly staff, peaceful location, good food.
Room was great Some food was excellent
Shower had hardly any pressure Some food very basic and boring Breakfast too 'English'
staff very friendly and efficient food was good especially breakfast. The hotel setting was wonderful with well kept gardens
It could have a swimming pool as there are plenty of grounds outside to cater for one especially as on the two occasions we have stayed there was a few children.
Staff were friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast delicious. Highly recommended.
Lovely grounds to walk around. Good solid breakfast. Excellent shower and bath in the room.
The decor of the rooms was a bit dated.
excellent location ,staff and facilities. Really friendly and what a location ,peaceful and all at a very nice pace. highly recommended, I don't know how they do it for the money.
One of room it wasent clean, enader has got hair on bed ( not one at lest ten or more)
