This guest house is situated in Scarborough, a 5-minute walk from Peasholm Park, where you can take a picturesque stroll and relax by the lake.
Score from 120 reviews Wonderful
Flat-screen TVs, classic décor and breakfasts made using local produce are all standard at the award-winning Riviera Town House. Well-placed in central Scarborough, the sandy beach is 300 ft away.
Score from 235 reviews Very good
staff are very good always helpful and friendly. good location, nice atmophere , the room lovely and clean service always excellent .
no restaurant had to go out for a meal as only the bar to eat in parts of.the hotel do need refurbishing but the welcome from kerry and the staff make up for that .
This hotel is in a very good position for the Stephen Joseph Theatre, railway station, Art Gallery and shopping. The staff seemed mostly new, but were very friendly and tried their best to help the guests.
I am guessing this hotel has changed ownership and they haven't quite got to grips with it. It is also beginning to look 'tired' and is in need of refurbishment. The sudden change in the weather mean't that hotel was very cold and it didn't seem possible to turn on the central heating, although the staff very quickly provided a heater for the bedroom. We were very disappointed to find that the excellent restaurant had turned back into a cocktail bar.
Very close to town. Excellent personal service from staff before and during stay breakfast good on the whole and plentiful. Comfortable and clean.
There were no facilities available as far as I could see. No spa in, house beauty treatments etc. I felt that the price I paid was too much as the hotel appeared in need of some decoration and had a pub-type feel to it. Also nothing was particularly good or outstanding. Certainly no jazz feel to it except in the dining room.
First impression on arrival was not good because of the poor quality of the entrance area
Lack of attention to detail Entrance is poor - so first impressions are not good Bedroom in suite was depressing
location friendly staff lovely rooms quality of the food
