We stayed following a wedding reception which was ideal as all we wanted was to relax once at the reception and not have to worry about taxis and getting home. The breakfast the following morning following a swim and short walk was ideal before checking out. We were given Room 101 ? which viewed onto a wall of air-conditioning units. After only a couple of hours sleep the constant whine of these units made for a quite uncomfortable nights sleep. I would of normally said something at check-out but with a queue of almost 10 people and only 1 staff at hand I did not. This room should be either taken out of service or at the very least given a discounted tariff.

It was very well located, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the stay in general was good. I did not like the fact that the hotel used my card receipt to take a payment I had not authorised.

The staff are so friendly they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The bar staff in particular were excellent! Rooms are modern and a good size generally. As I often work during the evenings I leave some days the do not disturb sign on the door in any other hotel I have stay at they leave you a bag with fresh towels toiletries act by your door. The hallmark don't do this and it would be a simply thing to introduce. I think the bedroom doors are fire doors and when people leave their rooms if they don't hold onto the door it closes it's self the doors making a very loud banging noise which for me meant no Saturday lie in. Doors were banging from 7 on my floor. I know it's a minor thing but if doors claims be fitted with something to cushion the door and produce such loud banging a lie in might be possible.

We loved the hotel decor and room was very comfortable with excellent facilities. We ordered room service - the food was delicious and very reasonable. The spa treatments at the beauty spa were amazing and such good value for money. We will definitely stay again. Swimming pool and changing room could be modernised/refurbished. Also, it's possibly not a great idea to hold children's swimming lessons at the same time as advertising a "relaxing" spa environment.

Very smartly decorated, friendly, good breakfast Although hotel rooms have been refurbished the building is still old and rooms rather small with long corridors. Lifts need to be replaced

Spa was ok, reception was stylish. Staff were friendly. Air flow system was so noisy we couldn't sleep so we went home at 4am. Lift system was crude using old metal sliding gates which were left open. Bathroom was dirty. Cups in room were poorly washed with staining. Towels had stains and again poorly washed. Spa facility was dirty, poor decoration, rusting radiators, mouldy walls. This hotel needs a refit and bringing into todays standards.

The front of house facilities were the best areas. Wedidnt like;the small rooms and bathroom which was definitley designed for one person not two - not very well designed and decorated. We asked for a quiet toom and were given one over the entrance and then got moved to another one next to the extraction units!!We also couldnt believe there were blankets on the bed - no duvet

Nice comfy bed Cleanliness wasn't up to what I expected - a clump of hair in the plug hole of the bath and a sink plug which didn't work. Expected better.

Room looked lovely - see below for dislike to room Resturant has a lovely atmosphere - see below for dislike to food Receptionist didn't tell us about breakfest when we booked in. We asked to book a table for evening meal and the receptionst told us the times available. When we got to the resturant our reservation hadn't been made then I found a piece of wood in my food. The tempature of the room was very very hot and no way of turning it down, there was a massive water pipe that run along the wall that was boiling hot the whole time. When opening the window it kept banging shut. We complained when checking out and received a refund for the food but nothing was said about the room tempature. This is bad management in my opinion, we won't be staying there again or recommending to others.

The bedroom was very well designed for its size and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly , they could not have been more helpful. At the time of my visit it might be staff shortage but the service in the restraunt was slow, I did note it was busy and the staff were working very hard , nevertheless I had to wait a long time in between courses.
