Location really close to the venue I was attending for a gig. Also very close to the station. Staff vey pleasant and informative.
Very dated. Could certainly benefit from a face lift but it wasn't expensive (for Chester) and as I was alone and staying for only one night, it did the job.
Starting to look a bit tired
Cleanliness, cost, space, smell
Staff were great, but Hotel very tired and in need of a good updating
quite a few noisy guests, broken toilet with towel underneath to catch dips, shower didn't always work
convenient location lovely helpful friendly staff (well the one i met was) comfy bed
noisy plumbing bit grubby/dated decor. breakfast too early on a sunday
Very friendly and helpful staff, very convenient location, brilliant value for money
the decor is dated but great hotel for the money.
Know what you get
No cats in the rooms.
I had a lot of food for breakfast. The staff was helpful. When I felt sick one of the members of the stuff gave me the needed support. It was very much appreciated! Thank you.
It was very cold in the room. There was no heating. The blankets were thin and I felt cold all night. The room is very small and a bit unclean. The TV set did not work.
Great location next to the station Clean and tidy room Friendly and chatty staff Well maintained
Grossly slow shower, single noisy bed,
The friendliness of the staff was very welcoming and reassuring.0
No car park
Everything, it was awful. The bed was hard, staff was not welcoming at all! It wasn't clean, the room was disgusting, only stayed few hours and had to book a new hotel! Not worth £60!!!
wasn't brilliant but what do you expect for the good price, room dated but clean, couldn't face brekky after my night out so not fair to comment but tables looked nice, little bar there, comfy tv room downstairs, so close to the train station so bonus points there. :)
staff very good. LOcation good.
In need of of alot of improvements.
Managers attitude . Was rude . No plug in sink , shower not working properly . Iron a health risk . No vegetarian option when told there was and had paid 4.50 a ngt for it . Toilet cracked and bathroom dirty . Burn marks on carpets . Someone old jumper left in wardrobe , so goes to show just how much they clean the room .ud be better off staying in the public toilets on eastgate st
The room was a good size with plenty of space. The breakfast, which you had to pay for was excellent and as it was self serve you could have as much as you wanted
The shower wasn't great, the water temperature kept jumping to scolding hot and the fixture wasn't brilliant.
Brilliant Location, Really friendly and helpful staff, Great Value for money. Perfect for a cheap get away.
Location close to the station
Everything else. The bedroom was dirty, bathroom beyond shabby and the bed was uncomfortable and far from hygienic. The TV was high on top of a wardrobe so impossible to watch....and its standby blue light lit up the room all night although the curtains were so thin and ill fitting that it would have been light in any case. Would never stay there again.
Excellent location to the train station
Loved the location as it's really close to the train station and there's a weatherspoon - town crier which is a stones throw away... and it is quite close to the town too.
The hotel really looked dated and the facilities did look old and is in need of a make over. Even the bar area especially the seats are looking tatty and dirty. Also not happy that breakfast was only between 8-9 am, we paid for breakfast but missed it cos of the time - not really convenient when you were out the night before...wish they serve it until 10am.
Location is good especially If you arrive by train. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is good value for money. Price is extremely good.
Toilet. I didn't expect much for the price. But it was dirty and almost impossible to have shower with warm water : switching from cold to super hot. Impossibile to regulate.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Bath and shower need to be replaced.
The staff were brilliant. I needed to book a first floor room for a relative who struggles with stairs and they were able to accommodate this for me. It was also the morning of my wedding and they offered me a free breakfast! Such thoughtful people and so much good will. Thank you!!!
The staff were very helpful and friendly the location was good enjoyed our stay
Shower cold in morning .
