Booked well in advance for a short trip to the Olympic velodrome. Had all I really needed and basic breakfast was £2.50. On top of 30 quid, try and beat that in London!
For the money, no problem, but tarpaulin on front of hotel, might have put some off!
It was very close to Victoria Station, which was convenient for me. The room was simple, but clean. The staff were polite and helpful.
The bathroom was absolutely freezing cold.
Fine for a quick sleepover. Location is good.
The room was very tiny for two beds in it and the water flux in the shower was pretty weak. No lift and getting to the 3rd floor with a suitcase would be tricky.
I asked for as little stairs as possible when booking , they put me on top floor and stairs are very steep , won't be back
Surprised by the appliances in the room, fridge, TV, sink, oven... Comfortable bead, good heating, good shower. Very polite staff. Great location, one of the best hotels I've stayed in London in this price range.
Everything was great.
that it was a short stay... Only 1 night!
Customers complaining that they didn't get Hilton hotel style creature comforts, when the booked into a cheap economy hotel!!
Staff were friendly and welcoming, good value for money,
Bit disappointed we wasn't made aware of the major building works that were taking place! The front of the hotel i couldn't recognise due to scaffolding, And to get to our room we had to go past two floors being refitted which involved alot of banging, not great at 8.30 in morning i must admit
Location, Very clean
The sharing toilet was out of order. They have to fix it as quickly as possible
This place is the worst rathole I have ever stayed in. No doubt, it is cheap, however the pictures lie. The walls are peeling and dirty, the bathroom is unclean. It is in a grim condition. I booked a longer stay and because I had no chance for a refund I stayed, otherwise I would have left to look for somewhere else.
I have been staying weekly for 2years. The staff are always polite and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The beds are comfortable and whilst basic rooms are clean and tidy.
I call it shabby chic but th whole building inside could do with a lick of paint.
The location, very close to Victoria station
To ask heating in the room in february! Different explanations about the problem of water, too cold to take a shower! Nice pictures are very far from the reality!!
staff was very unfriendly at first, then i insisted to give me other room than one from the basement, where it has a bad smell and very cold, so i finally got it. the staff from next day was ok.
Not enough bathrooms
If you're looking for a fancy hotel, don't stay here. If you're looking for somewhere cheap in the centre of London, it's perfect. It's a bit shabby (but they were in the middle of building work when I stayed), the room was small and there's a lot of stairs. However, the room was quiet, the bed was comfy and the staff were lovely.
Good value for money. Middle of Westminster, close to the subway, walking distance from Big Ben, London Eye, Picadilly etc.
Only two showers for the entire house. Annoying when both are occupied, and even more annoying when one is drenched after the previous person is done using it. Room was tiny and did not look too appealing, but had the necessities.
location, low cost
lack of elevator
Simple accommodation in excellent location, comfy bed, free wifi.
Decor is quite shabby
When I booked a room with a shared facilities nothing was said about the current refurbishment of the hotel and the payment conditions as well were not clearly stated. Instead of 2 days of free cancellation as it was adivised the payment was debited immediately from my card and it caused an overdraft. During my first stay initially I was given a room where refurbishment started and associated facilities were really cold. Fortunetely it could be changed. During my second stay I was given a room with windows closed by protective mesh so I had a feeling to pay for being on a refurbishment site.
The price, 30 pounds for a double room special offer. The sheets and rooms are always clean. So close to Victoria train station and coach station, 5 min walk. The two girls and one man who have been on reception are just lovely, really friendly and so helpful. I have stayed twice in 12 months and it is always the same. The last time I had breakfast it was basic but good.
The stairs are a bit of a nightmare but these are old buildings converted so you have to allow for that. The sharing of toilets isn't great but the communal areas are kept clean. The deposit for the remote control but again understandable. All the niggles can be forgiven for the price and welcome you get.
The placement of the hotel, tv good.
lower ground floor room with bathroom on the second floor, dirty, old, publice area carpet very old, in general it needs a wwhole make over.
Great location. As expected for the price. Great that you can leave your baggage safety with reception before check in and after check out.
Could use a lick of paint..
WiFi, reception, location, reception all great older reviews said it was cold but this time the heating was ok
hotel is being renovated so there was very loud drilling, hammering, sawing etc. above my room starting at 08:00. I heard a guest ask them to be quiet but they continued. the windows are old so the noise from the road is loud until about 00:30
Good location, inexpensive. They've provided an electric heater.
The single room was in a sorry stage: ugly cracked sink, beaten furniture, and, gasp, NO TEA KETTLE. Is this Britain or where? A man needs his evening cuppa! Also, the electric heater was kinda noisy.
