An excellent seafront location and sea view. The staff were generally OK (some better than others - the breakfast waitress was very friendly and helpful). Aberystwyth is a really nice seaside town.

We paid for a 'deluxe room' - the photo showed a good size, double fronted room. The reality was rather different - a very small room and a tiny, tiny bathroom with a miniature sink. The bathroom door was a sliding type which was in die need of oiling (really stiff and noisy) Breakfast: The breakfast room was tiny and crowded, so every few seconds someone bumped your elbow as they tried to get to the buffet. The sausages seemed really cheap and nasty. It was a bank holiday weekend, so that accounts for some of the price hike, but the size and quality of the room and the quality of the breakfast did not match the price.

Good location and seaview from my room.

Not too keen on the buffet cooked breakfast, but served its purpose.

Had a pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, fabulous views from the rooms. Many excellent restaurants

There is a lot of room for improvement. Poor wifi, breakfast room in the basement is really not suitable for the purpose. No hot water in the taps.

A great view from our room as we overlooked the seafront. The room was well equipped and the staff very flexible in accommodating our needs. We were lucky to have a reasonable size room, some I think were smaller.

The windows don't hold back the cold sea breeze or the noise from the prom that went on until well into the early hours - secondary glazing would help!

The hotel is in a great location - right on the sea front and within easy reach of both the north and the south beaches as well as the town. The room we had was on the ground floor looking out over front - the room was very small and the bathroom even smaller but it was all spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable indeed. I did think it was quite expensive for the size of it though. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fine - although the dining room was down in the basement which was a bit dingy an again very small. Room 9, we noticed, was also down in the basement area - below street level - and I certainly wouldn't have fancied staying in there!

Parking is an issue - you can only stop in front of the hotel for an hour - and only then if there is a space - parking is best at the railway station - but then you do have to walk with all your bags to the hotel.

Great location on the seafront and easy to get to from the station. Also they kind enough to accommodate my bicycle (but they only really have space for 1 bicycle, so don't rely on this).

They hadn't read the request I'd put in the comment booking form. But they did apologise for that.

The location was perfect!! The staff at the hotel were really helpful and so friendly, they were a credit to the manager.

Parking was an issue in the town.

    Friendly staff

Bedroom and en-suite were small, limited space in lounge bar and dining room. Nice enough but not particularly good value at the price we paid

View. Great location. Hearing the sea from the room. Clean, well presented rooms. Buffet style breakfast but items not always replenished when exhausted. Enjoyable stay, would stay again mainly due to location and view.

No wifi in room - did stay on top floor. Free parking available on sea front but a distance from property. No poach egg option - no machine to make them - I didn't release you needed one. Very small tables and dining room.

Rooms were cleaned well, great provision of towels, toiletries, biscuits and coffee/tea.

Hotel Wifi didn't work over the entire week stay, breakfast was greasy, cheap quality, and you only had until 8:30 on weekdays to eat (9:30 on Sundays), rooms were very cramped, barely anywhere to put clothing, you couldn't even stand in family room as it's in the attic so ceiling was on a slope and we kept hitting our heads in the bathroom and in the room. The place appeared to be falling apart and is in huge need of a refurbishment. Cheap toiletries. Would have thought it was a 2 star hotel. We were required to pay for week stay up front- they probably had too many leave after one day! Would never recommend. Couldn't wait to go home.

The location of this hotel was great but received a call to say one floor had to be evacuated and were offered sister hotel further along Promenade at Queensbridge Hotel.

Elevator out of action and too expensive to fix. Why advertise it? Fire escape doors on both floors were left open all night. Selling 2012 cans of beer. No ice or lemon for drinks.

Location was perfect: in front of the sea and 5 minutes walk from the train station. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was good with cold and hot options.

Although they advertise wifi in all rooms, there is very poor signal in second floor and none in the third floor. Individual room in the third floor was extremely small (I think the rest of the rooms might not have this problem though). The location in front of the sea is a plus but note that not all the rooms are facing to the sea. Fresh fruit was missing in the breakfast.

Arrived at 1,15 to book in to be told messages had been left on home phone to say that hotel was overbooked. Really upset by poor attitude of man at reception who never apologised. Booking was made 3 months earlier for graduation ceremony.Should have been informed around time of booking not leave a message just before trip date. Given alternative hotel next door - Belle Vue Royal - where staff could not have been more helpful and considerate.

good location. clean bedding and towels.

no lift and we were 3rd floor. No wardrobe. slanted ceiling. I am 5ft 7 and had difficulty standing in bathroom. Bathroom floor dirty whole time we were there. Room door lock not secure. Wi Fi only in hall . This guest house has tried to do it's best with limited space. It is definately budget accomodation and should be priced as such. I would not have been so dissappointed. The next hotel I went to that was same price was outstanding .Do not pay more than £100 per night or you will feel conned aswell.
