The sea view is spectacular When booking the Belgrave they sometimes try to switch you to another hotel in their group in town without warning. Make sure you are staying at the Belgrave!

See my other comments, I can honestly say this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We arrived to be told the £125 a night ensuite room we'd booked wasn't available, so after a 30 minute wait in reception the owner took us in his transit van to another site, which turned out to be a small, dirty room in a shared house with 1 bathroom between 4, with breakfast and other facilities a 15 minute walk back through the town. We declined this and were taken to another site and offered an ensuite room in a back-street hotel, which was tatty, dirty and most of the hotel's facilities appeared to be closed. The owner discounted the rate to £100 (payment taken up-front), but by looking on the web-site, the room should have been £100. So we paid over the odds for the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

Great location. The breakfast was truly dreadful, so much so, that we skipped day 2, we just couldn't stomach it!. The room had a single sheet on a double bed which obviously didn't tuck in and became very uncomfortable and no one at reception to complain to. Being late September, there was a nip in the air but no heating was on. This guest house is not to be recommended.

Lovely clean room with comfy bed and nice fresh linen, widescreen tv, views of the sea and decent tea and coffee facilities. Very friendly staff and good choice of breakfast. For such an upmarket bedroom the electric shower was possibly one of the worst I've ever encountered with its periodic spurts of scalding water and a bifolding door which made it difficult to get in and out. A dead loss and health and safety need to check it out.

The location was ideal. It opened directly onto the beach and was very near the main high street and shops in Aberyswyth. The only criticism about the room that I stayed in was that the bedroom was tiny. You couldn't relax in the bedroom or walk around the bed. The bathroom on the other hand was huge!

The family room we had was laid out very well,3rooms that interconnected with ensuite bathroom Very short staffed, one lady seemed to do everything!!Reception, cooking, clearing tables, laundry. She had an impossible task but managed as well as she could & was very pleasant & friendly/helpful.The room was clean-ish but very 'tired',needed redecorating & new carpet as it was stained. The beds weren't comfortable & needed replacing although sheets etc were very clean.Sunny patio had old tatty chairs, full of weeds & overflowing ashtrays.Hotel advertised a bar which was closed at 9.30pm?!! As the staff went home as had to be up early to do breakfasts!!Parking was available but very restricted & local streets all had short stay times.Overall this was very expensive for what it was, made the most of it due to a family celebration but although staff lovely would never return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cooked breakfast was very good too! There is no dedicated parking at the hotel and the room was quite small for a double - it felt like the en suite was squeezed into the room.

A nice, clean hotel with pleasant decor. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. We were in rooms 4 and 5 which overlook the sea and were comfortable enough for an overnight stay.

The location on the beach and only a 5 minute walk from the train station, 2 minutes to the shops, clubs and pier. Expensive for what it is, I would have put the price at no.more than £50 for the night. The Glengower hotel is better by a long way but books up fast. While the woman that greeted us was on duty you could always smell cigarette smoke coming from the breakfast area. Not what I call good.

The decor was nice, it looked inviting. I stayed in a room which had a boiler that was constantly on. This was noisy and made the room unbearably hot. There was a single bed which was a surprise. It was uncomfortable and the pillows were cheap and thin. For some reason all the lamps and the alarm clock were all unplugged when I arrived so I had to plug them all back in. This may not apply to all the rooms but didn't make a good impression I had a very early start the next day and when the proprietor didn't seen interested in offering me breakfast before the normal serving time.

Loved hearing the sound of the waves outside our bedroom! Hotel staff had kindly provided our particular requests. The room was not warm enough! The radiator was only lukewarm, although I suppose we could have asked for an extra heater. The ensuite area was tiny, and lacking in simple hooks We could feel the springs on the mattress on our bed. No choice of eggs at breakfast which is unusual.

The room was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and a loveley comfortable bed. Nice views out onto the seafront. Room was always warm and attention to little details were excellent. Service was friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection at breakfast. All in all was a cosy, pretty hotel. Would be even better if it had a bath. Shower was a bit pokey and fixtures on taps a bit loose
