Location was ideal for my business trip, however that was the only positive I could say. The hotel was dirty, shabby and a complete hole! I decided to book a different hotel for my last night as I couldnt stand it any longer!

The location Everything else - staff were miserable and unhelpful, no towels in the room, couldn't shut the window and heard street noise all night.

Very well positioned for transport from St Pancras or Kings Cross rail stations in fact location could not be better. Very restricted for space and moving about the building is not easy especially with luggage. Rooms are tiny and very warm even with a window wide open. However it is cheap and cheerfull and for one night nearly tolerable

I booked the Belgrove hotel as I was unable to obtain rooms in our usual hotel and which was made additionally attractive because of the lower room rate. On arrival we found the female receptionist very friendly and welcoming. The following morning we also found that the girls in the breakfast room very polite and efficient in organising our table. Because of the smaller area of the dining room,we found that on two mornings of our three night stay,we had to stand and wait for a table to become available as unfortunately this hotel does NOT have a lounge to use for this purpose. Whilst the rooms had clean enough beds & toilets, my own room had no bathroom shelf which meant keeping all my toiletries on my bedside cabinet! There was also only TWO coathangers in the wardrobe and the main room light on the ceiling was minus a shade which was the most obvious clue of being economy class!! With the carpet also being a bit worn in places and the furniture looking "very tired" this can only be suitable if you want to save money and are not bothered about comfort!!!

The stale smell, the narrow bed, and the lack of means to dry the bathroom floor after a shower.

The location, which is literally just across the road from London, King's Cross Station. Tiny room making it virtually impossible for two people to be in it at the same time. The equally small bathroom had a shower, which was not separated from the rest of the room, which meant that when you had a shower, the whole floor was covered in water. We had to queue for breakfast, which was not worth the wait, with leathery, tasteless food. The whole hotel is very rundown, with broken balusters on the staircase and peeling wallpaper both around the hotel and in our room. It also has a very musty smell to it.

The location, opposite Kings Cross Station, is superb and yet the hotel is quite quiet, being down a side street. Free, moderately hassle-free internet was a big bonus (sometimes signal a bit weak) and the staff are very friendly and not to London-hardened, if that makes sense. It is a budget hotel so things are a bit basic as you would expect, room and facilities- wise, but if that's ok then this is a good choice. Not really, but a lot of hotels including this one are a bit conventional in their use of cleaning fluids or air freshener so my room smelt like men's aftershave every day - not great for an asthmatic. It was winter, so the heating was on, and had to keep the window nearly full open so as not to react badly to it - sorry ozone hole! Yes I did ask if it could be stopped but could tell no discernable difference.

Conveniently placed between Kings Cross / St Pancras and Euston stations at an excellent price. The sound proofing isn't great so inconsiderate neighbours can be a problem.

This hotel is in good location, from that place you could reach any part of the city; not very expensive; breakfast , internet is included. Staff is responsible, friendly. I like this hotel. Only one thing I miss (ok , I forgot it at home and think it will be in the hotel as usual) - shampoo:)

It was cheap, and where I needed to be. You don't often (ever?) get a cooked breakfast included in the price in a hotel in this price bracket, so that was good. I had a room at the back so it was nice and quiet. The room was clean (but see below) and the shower was nice and hot. It was really, really, old and shabby which meant that even though the room was clean, it didn't really look clean. The reception area stank of stale cigarette smoke which wasn't very nice, although the rest of the place smelt ok. The cooked breakfast was a nice surprise but the non- cooked options were pretty poor - orange squash instead of juice, only cereal was cornflakes and the only think you could have on your toast was marmalade. TV reception in the room was not great (no BBC channels, and the rest kept cutting out). Hotel not able to provide a VAT receipt when I checked out, and didn't seem to know what one was.

Location right near Kings Cross Station. Breakfast was good. Too Spartan. Too Small. The room and the bathroom were smaller than on the last cruise ship I was on.

a) It was cheap b) breakfast was ok c) the shower worked with hot water You get what you pay for ; this is a cheap hotel so I didn't expect large towels, toilet paper, working radiators, a bath mat or a working plug in the sink; and I wasn't disappointed.

The location was perfect very close to the main stations. the hotel itself was very run down and the room was very compact. So much potential and not enough effort was put into this place. Very disappointing!

To be honest I had read the reviews before staying at the hotel and I was very worried at the majority of comments left! On arrival the hotel from the outside was clean and looked hospitable. When reaching our hotel room, my friends and I were pleasantly surprised to discover two single separate beds and one large double bed. There was ample space for all three us and to be honest I think a double room instead of a triple would have been sufficient. Breakfast was lovely with a full english and the staff were very attentive. The only negative comment I have is that when you book the room/s you have not actually paid the balance at the moment of booking but instead pay on arrival. But overall my friends and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay! Would definitely stay here again. Nothing at all- a very enjoyable stay!
