The hotel had a lot of character
Staff were a little slow. Finding a parking space was a little difficult!
Fantastic location and friendly staff.
4 flights of stairs to the room - no lift! The room we got was shabby but our friends rooms looked better. Beds seemed tiny
Helpful and friendly staff. Good west end location for what we were needing. Breakfast cooked to order.
Premium room is not at all premium. In need of a revamp, very dated. Very cheap bedding, duvet wafer thin as we're the pillows. Very uncomfortable nights sleep. Free on site parking is actually in the street outside and you would be very lucky if you got a space anywhere near to the hotel.
Great location, excellent facilities, friendly, helpful staff.
Overall set up. The ambiance. The quietness and serenity. The high standard of the accommodation. It was really enjoyable.
The reception set up wasnt good. While it was quirky, it wasnt practical. The check in times were also very late in the day which was messy.
Location and the hotel overall
My husband and I both had the cooked breakfast and did not really enjoy it, this said we still really loved everything else about the Belhaven Hotel and will return.
lovely clean hotel bedroom comfortable with good free wi fi Bathroom although not the biggest was clean with nice fluffy towels provided Staff extremely friendly and courteous Location perfect within a short walking distance to bars and restaurants in west end
no tea/coffee provided in room extra charge for this Parking on a very busy street
wonderful old house, very friendly, excellent meal, perfect service
The staff were very helpful and friendly, location was good as well. Good value for money
Can't really think of anything that I didn't like.
Location, high and ornate ceilings and breakfasts
Dated grandeur; a general refresh of the bedroom furnishings and bathroom paintwork/plumbing would make all the difference
Lovely hotel, well kept and clean.all the staff friendly and helpful.hotel in a great part of the city, quiet, short taxi ride into city centre
Asked for a room on ground floor, slight mobility problem, given room down the stairs in basement
Breakfast, WiFi and eating room
mouldy smelling old rooms Old decor Small shower Mirror too low No parking Location far Stairs
Nice small, renovated and clean hotel, excellent wi-fi signal, staff very helpful
no check in before 3 pm
Excellent breakfasts; room facilities; helpful staff; fast wi-fi; location near university
difficult ascent to top floor rooms; street parking inconvenient; lacking facilities for disabled;
Staff unfriendly Service was poor Poor value for money Need to be fit for stairs
The staff was very attentive and helpful, thank you for excellent service.
appalled that had to pay over £3.00 for tea/coffee tray. breakfast poor. attic bedroom not good would not recommend for more than one night
Handy to west end with restaurants and pubs close by.
staff helpful the breakfast you could not fault the location perfect for what we wanted
the stairs to the top room
The night porter was very helpful. The hotel needs more staff.
Not having a comfortable bed.no tea making facilities in bedroom unless you paid extra. The view out of lower ground floor window was bad. The front lower ground needs to be tidying. Pots pf shrubs you just need to walk along the pavement and see what can be achieved.
Nice room and excellent breakfast. Very polite and helpful staff.
Could do with a lift if you are on the 3rd floor!
I found really nice and helpful staff throughout. Lovely, peaceful area near museums and Botanical gardens and shops. Good food and delicious breakfasts. How do you make that porridge?
Getting up to the top of the building was a bit hard but not impossible. Was this aspect clear on your website? (e.g. No lift.)Mature and\or slightly disabled people might need to know.(I didn't book myself.)
Staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Very good area to stay e.g. residential, quiet and attractive.
We have nothing to comment on.
Bed was comfy and staff were very chatty. Breakfast was decent and served quickly. Easy to park outside and only a couple of miles from the city centre
My bathroom made some very weird and loud noises when toilet was flushed
Staff welcoming and efficient, hotel beautifully decorated with spacious rooms. Breakfast well presented, cooked and delicious. Great attention to detail to make guests feel at home and to find their ways around the city.
