location of hotel and the sea view were both excellent.
purely a personal thing but for us, the pillows were too soft . Whilst we are used to a macerator, it is intrusive and maybe beyond control because of the age of the building
had a two night break here to blow away the cobwebs. Room was clean although smaller than expected. Tea & coffee in rooms bug know enough milk for one cup each. View was great, overlooking the sea & location was perfect fit town. The breakfast was advertised as small or large but on having the large, we were left wondering how small the small breakfast could've been ( no tinned tomatoes )!! On saying that there was plenty of cereal & toast on offer. Had a problem with one of the lights but that was fixed very quickly. Bath a big slippery sk would advise to be careful.. Would give 7/10 overall.
The room was advertised as 'comfort' which made us believe it would be larger than it was.. Room very dated & in need of modernisation
Excellent location, good value
A little old-fashioned (sheets and blankets instead of quilts on bed).
The food was good. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The view from the bay window in our room was very nice.
Large bedrooms, with great view of the sea. Staff were eager to please. We seemed to be some of the very few guests there - a shame for a hotel with fading Edwardian splendour, and mysterious staircases.
Canned Christmas music over breakfast, which was turned off when we asked - it was much more restful to listen to the sound of the sea. Parking in the small hotel car park at the rear is tricky, but you can park directly outside the front on the promenade overnight.
The breakfast offered some of the best bacon ever! Apparently locally cured with Maple Syrup by local butcher
Not a wide selection of main meals
I thought your staff were super and the view was to die for. thank you for giving me a seaview. After I had been for a run on the Sunday morning, your receptionist had a pint of water ready for me...fabulous! Someone who obviously listens to their guests.
I felt the dining area for breakfast was a little soulless; almost too big! there was no fresh fruit just dried to put on top of the cereal. I didn't stay for my second breakfast as I went to friends hotel instead.
Locatiom staff food and friendliness
The room was not really warm enough for us and the staff were unable to acquire additional electric heaters despite their best efforts
Great location and marvellous view of the seafront. Food was excellent as well.
Noisy neighbour could be heard next door until 2 am - not the hotel's fault but perhaps the positioning of the phone could be better. It was clear his was right behind our beds.
Lovely and clean, breakfast fantastic and staff very friendly
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff.
Staff were great and the location was superb
staff ,food exellent
Good sized room , very clean with a comfortable bed . The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull .
I love the hotel location, the food is excellent both Breakfast and evening meal. The staff are welcoming and very professional. They are obviously chosen carefully. I can't praise the staff enough.
The room was lovely and big and suited my mobility problem . But the bed was old, sagged on my side hope this will be replaced during the proposed refurb over Christmas.
The sea view is amazing and worth the extra. Big window to sit in and watch the world of Aber go by and of course view the nightly show put on by the starlings at this time of the year. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
The rooms are beginning to look a little dated and the selection of bar meals was not different from the restaurant menu.
The decoration in the room was very tired, the paint was chipping off the pipes, and the information that I was given when I rang was different to that when I got there. You have serious issues with the car park either have one to offer or do not bother. The parking situation on the surrounding streets needs to be addressed as a leading business in the town it needs to be attended to.
The room was large, airy and peaceful with a wonderful view of the sea.The breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice. We had a meal in the bar, and found it excellent - some of the best chips I have had.
Inevitably car parking is an issue, but outweighed by the location and comfort. Nothing else to complain about
the location was brilliant - although I was at the back so couldn't see the sea! The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Thank you.
One wall in my bathroom was very wet with damp coming from somewhere. The room bedroom smelt damp when you entered it.
At such a reasonable price, I hardly expected the amazing seafront view which made this feel more like a relaxation break than a work related trip. The staff were attentive but not invasive and my only regret is that I was only booked to stay for one night. An excellent hotel to which I look forward to returning.
The staff were lovely, the sea view was amazing, the location was great - close to station, shops and sea. Will definitely be looking to return with my family next time!
Decor was a tad tired - but really the friendliness and view/location more than compensated so it's a petty criticism. Restaurant was somewhat "quiet" and lacking atmosphere but having said that the food and service was great.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was massive with a great view of the bay. And the evening meal was amazing. And the breakfast was great as well. Slept so well and did I say the room was massive and the views fantastic.
That I was only in the area for the one night on business. Would have loved another few evening meals there.
Car parking Good breakfast Friendly staff
The paper hanging off the wall. Watermarks on the decor. An old brown nylon blanket on the bed. instead of a quilt. The hotel needs to be modernised.
A generous twin room right on the front with a great view of the Promenade and bagfulls of ozone. Also got 48hr safe parking round the back for 2 cars. Breakfast was fully up to expectations.
It's all a bit tired and the bar/dining facilities are rather uninspiring.
