Hosts were very friendly welcoming and helpful. Also parking!
It's a bit basic but very clean well worth the reasonable price.
Very big room. High ceiling. Thanks a lot for the warm welcome.
Excellent attitude and welcoming nature of the man on duty. He never seems to sleep and is always there to help. Nothing is too much trouble, has advice on buses, trams, events and weather! Room 4 is huge, plenty of space for four of us....big beds and lots of floor space.
Looks a bit grubby from the outside. Shower room very small.
Conveniently located. Bus stop right outstide the building. Owners were very friendly and knowledgable.
The choices available for breakfast although I did not go hungry!
Sara and her husband couldn't of been more welcoming and helpful.
The room was quiet small for two people and very poor wifi connection in the room. Otherwise excellent stay.
Sara the housekeeper was excellent, one couldn't ask for more. She was always willing to help. Central location, bus stop right outside the premises
However there was no cooling system in the room and it was quite hot.
The owner, Sarah was a very classy lady. Very accommodating and was there every morning to provide breakfast and see if you needed anything. Just an overall nice experience and a beautiful house.
The Location was alright. By foot it takes about 20 minutes to the city center. We arrived in two cars and got one parking spot.
The owner was really unmotivated. The rooms were tiny and dirty. Bathrooms were rather gross with damaged furniture and toilets which were not mounted. Value/price ratio is really bad. Breakfast was minimalistic - tea/coffee/toast was served - otherwise only packed pastries.
excellent location close to the city center
that I was asleep and spent as little time as possible in the premises
I just hated being there
25 minutes walk to city center or take the bus in front of the hotel for 1.5 pounds one way or daily 3.5 pound. wi-fi avaliable.Clean, family run place. Nice location!
Lovely old building. Lovely people in this family business, warm, friendly and helpful whenever needed.
creaky bed and rather old mattress (esp. for people with back problems like me)
Sammy is a lovely host! He takes good care of you & is always in for a nice talk! There is a free parking space! It is easy to walk to the city, but there are more than enough busses to take. A good shower!
The small bedroom is really small.
A very nice property with nice owners, very convinient location both regarding public transportation and walking. Nice walking distance to old city center and also Arthur Sit
Spacious bedroom. Flexible to guests.
The rooms need maintenance some of the bulbs are busted. Lighting is very poor. So many papers on the entrance area. Not enough parking space. Breakfast was a basic one, no hot food. No proper reception area.
Friendly helpful service. Made us feel very welcome.
Breakfast was good, beds were comfy enough, good hospitality
The lack of a lift was inconvenient for people with bad joints, and the toilet in the room was not secured to the wall so the water came out from underneath
Good location, 20min walk to centre Friendly staff Clean and comfortable room
Room quite small
Very friendly staff who were very helpful. Clean & breakfast good. Good bus service into town.
Wi-fi barely reached my room. Really be better if they said that there may be parking as there is only 2 spaces and one blocked in the other, although I did get my car parked, there was a couple of times when I had to switch with another car which means reversing out on to main road.
The owner was very friendly and accommodating, the place was spotless, wi-fi worked without a hitch, and the guest house was only a short walk from the downtown. Highly recommended!
Breakfast could've used a little more variety.
Staff was so accommodating. When I said we had to leave early on a weekend, they opened the breakfast room early just for us. Without asking they offered advice on the local bus service.
Took a while to get a response from the doorbell, was worried that no one was there to let us in to check in.
very good location only a 15 mins walk from city centre with plenty of shops and pubs on route.. very friendly owners.. nice and clean place.. very welcoming ..
Loved the place, was in an excellent location and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be considering staying there next time I am up in Edinburgh.
Nothing I can think of.
Nice and helpful staff
The room was freezing, not enough heating.
_ To have the bus station just in front of the house !! - when you manage to meet the guy in charge , he was very helpfull with tips.
-I got a towel with 3 big holes !! -they clean just the necesary, after 2 days a soap was still laying on the floor -nobody around to ask for information, when you ring a bell for service they hardly heard it. -No information about getting breakfast if you have to leave early for a Tour -the ventilator in the toilet extremely loud even if you turned off the light it will go making noise for another 10 minutes.
