not much, the room was very basic, bathroom was poor, shower didnt work, towels were to small to dry an adult. bathroom, bed, water pressure or lack of. no wi-fi in the room even though the staff said there was, my room must of been to far away from recption to pick up the signal, tv selection and signal was poor. the bar area was very poor it was just a lobby with over priced beers in.

The location is close to Epping Forest and a short drive to the m11 and links into London. The hotel reception staff were friendly, helpful and polite. A nice breakfast buffet was available. The open/close valve for the showere was stiff to operate and we complained about it. We were told to force the valve round to get the flow of water out of the shower head. The bathroom radiator was not working but 1 extra bath towel and 1 extra hand towel were provided. For an executive room, the two chairs were mis-matched, Fire doors were wedged open while staff cleaned the rooms during the morning

Overall we were reasonably happy, the staff were very good, food was in the main above average, our room was well maintained during our stay, and in the main the facilities were average to good. We have two areas of compaint 1- there are no disabled toilet facilities serving the dining area, so I had to accompany my wife when she needed to go to the toilet whilst dining. 2 - the room was always cold and the radiator adjustment was locked and could not be adjusted, the elctric heater also provided was broken.

The staff are warm and friendly, the receptionist was extremely helpful and knew who I was as I walked through the door. I found that to be very personal and felt quite touched. I have stayed there with my boyfriend a number of occasions and have felt all the staff have made us both feel at home. I use this hotel because of the staff. It can be very off putting if you do not have good people working front of house. I will certainly use them again.

The room wasn't properly cleaned as an empty drinks bottle was found in the bathroom and previous occupiers door key was still in the room. The fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night for no apparent reason.

It was a reasonably comfortable bedroom. The bedroom was too warm. The bathroom was in need of updating - looked tired and dated. All felt very basic and was really quite expensive. More like a motel- had to walk outside from reception to get to my room. I stayed there out of necessity.
