Best Western, The Bell Hotel  

Large car park, good location in relation to motroways. Friednly staff.

the first rrom we were shown was very dated the bath had large black specks in it we asked to change rooms. the second was better however it stunk of smoke and we went back to reception and they said they would send somebody to have a look but couldnt change the room again . we had an uncomfortable night i could smell smoke on the bedding and started to think that the bedding hadnt been changed/ the next morning i complained to reception and she said somebody would call me on tuesday this has not happened. compared with other hotels we have booked recently with you this was extremely dated and very poor value for moneuy

The breakfast

Door slamming - kids running and shouting between 4.15 and 5 ish. People in room above (?) came in during the early hours and knocked furniture over by the sound of it. Suggest you do not put mature couples near families!!

Room dirty stains on chairs staff did not have a clue, waited between 10 and 20 mins to be served at bar even though it was not busy

Very disappointing. Very dated facility. Had to change room due to tv not being re-tuned to dig system. I would not recomend.

I was on my own and the staff was very friendly. I would stay again.

The fire alam went off in the early hours of the morning ? no one seemed to know why ?

We've Stayed there many times. Its not the Ritz but value for money.

Noisy at night, shower not working despite my booking a disabled room heating off.

The staff where excellent

The rooms where tidy and clean but in need of a re-furb.

It is a very convenient location with plenty of parking. The hotel was in need of renevation and judging by my room this is now happening. My room and bathroom were newly decorated in a very tasteful way. It was nice to have a decent television.

Nothing out of ordinary

Despite the look on the outside, I was very pleasently surprised by this hotel. I stayed in the Executive Suite and it was all modern, clean, with every possible facility needed for 1 night stay. The Staff were all very helpful and Breakfast service was very good too. Staff came to the table to ask if everything is fine or if I wanted any more coffee etc. I can only recommend this hotel and I will be staying there again when I am in the area.

I guess the only little negative point is the Exterior of the Hotel, but there isn't much that could be done about that.
