The Bell Hotel  

The staff were accommodating to host our family meal & were proficient when changing the facilities when numbers in my family party changed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Portions at our carvery lunch were overbearing and many family members had to leave meat, which I considered wasteful and could have been avoided if portions were reduced. Breakfast was varied, but the bacon was slightly over cooked. Staff again were helpful in providing a continois supply of beverages.

We had no toilet roll no soap in the shower dispensor and two of the three biscuits had been eaten. We complained and the breakfast was taken off the bill

Staff nice, bed clean, nice view, good location, reasonably priced

Very tired rooms in need of update, poor shower, lack of basic cleaning in rooms (very dusty and needing a vacuum), generally quite shabby

Selection of real ales, home-cooked bar food.

Breakfast buffet; over-cooked sausage, bacon etc not very appetising at all. Waitress who looked totally bored with her job.

I really liked the two receptionists who were friendly but most of all real people with a good sense of humour. Other staff members were also very good. The location was ideal for an overnight stay and the hotel full of "olde worlde" character. By chance the location was also perfect as this was a business trip and the customer who was being visited lived in Winslow and the Hotel was his recommendation.

The room was small but of no consequence for an overnight stay. The TV facilities were not to a standard needed for an extended stay but the character of the Hotel made it an enjoyable experience when having to stay in Premier/Holiday inns in the UK much of the year. There was a smell of food from the Kitchen extractors in the corridor but probably difficult to manage in such an old building.

A good value hotel in a pleasant village. Easy access to Silverstone.

Great country pub with outstanding value for money stay.. Would highly recommend to anyone

Staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accomodate requests.

The only comment I would make is that the condition/standard of the shower was poor

the hotel was very clean and tidy the staff were pleasant and accomodating The food was good and reasonably priced

I did find the room rather hot even though we turned the radiator off and opened the window the temp was still too hot for our comfort but asisde from that no other complaints at all

When I arrived the staff were wonderful - couldn't have been more helpful. The character of the hotel.

The room I was in would benefit from a deep clean.
