“ Location in the Forest of Dean. Coleford is a quiet town, so not for anyone looking for a 'city break' experience. Apparently an excellent and challenging golf course (I am not a golfer). ”

Spacious, comfortable room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good value. Fried bread at breakfast - a rarity these days! Food moderate. No desk/dressing table to work at in room, furnished for comfort rather than business use. Worst of all rubberised mattress covers, which led to a sweaty night.

Reception staff. Checking inC lady was very friendly and they allowed to us to check in early, due to a wedding. Check out was a rude younger girl who tried to charge us more and had all the room details wrong, saying we had 3 staying, but cleatly not, as our room only had 2 beds!

Location in the Forest of Dean. Coleford is a quiet town, so not for anyone looking for a 'city break' experience. Apparently an excellent and challenging golf course (I am not a golfer). Food is good - we had an excellent Sunday lunch with family. Sunday lunch is clearly very popular. Staff very friendly, helpful, and being local to the area, knowledgeable about local area. The rooms are fairly basic and modern, but comfortable. Quiet at night and comfortable beds. Good location for visiting the Forest. Was originally the local Grammar School, and old photographs etc are available to see on request. This not a criticism, but the hotel is aimed at golfers - the clue is in the name! No hotel grounds to speak of - it is a golf course so you'd be unwise to just go for a walk around it. Bar chat/conversation around us was almost exclusively golf related...so if you are a 'Golf Widow/Widower', or just dislike Golf, this probably would not tick your box!

Quiet location The cooked breakfast needed to be replenished more regularly. We needed to have breakfast and go and it had run out of most things.

Clean hotel with a friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere. We were too late to order room service & also missed the time to order food at the restaurant, so more flexible dining hours would have helped. However the young guy on reception found a few pizza place numbers and we managed to get one delivered at 1130pm!

not much! Staff tried to be as friendly as they could. Food was poor, and cooked breakfast was a complete joke. Who serves tinned tomatoes on wet fried bread? The meal was disgusting. The room was cold, and the bathroom floor tiles had filthy/stained grouting

Friendly staff and a very comfy sleep Didnt like the layout for breakfast, to close to other guests, and the tables werent cleaned so we had to sit at a dirty table and the staff just bought us extra cutlery, the toaster takes way too long.

Het is netjes. Als je alleen komt om te golfen is het een prima hotel. Het ontbijt viel tegen. Alleen maar traditioneel Engels ontbijt! Personeel bij de receptie niet beleefd Verder is er weinig te doen.
