The Yorkshire Hotel is situated in Harrogate, opposite Betty’s Tea Rooms. It is a 3-minute walk from Harrogate Train Station and the HIC. Leeds Bradford Airport is a 20-minute drive away.
Score from 478 reviews Good
Very friendly and supportive hosts, excellent location, own car park (not too big unfortunately), the room was clean and tidy but quite small. Good breakfast.
Double room is small - for one person ok but not for two, the bath is so smal an adult hardly fits inside and the sink is too low. Steep stairway and very narrow passages.
Location and food
Very comfortable bed, plentiful breakfast, friendly and helpful owners. Convenient for centre of Harrogate.
TV received no signal, bathroom was cold and cramped with a broken roller blind, room was rather cluttered.
Customer service is excellent. Comfy beds. Great location. Lovely breakfast and good value for money.
Warm friendly couple nothing was too much trouble.Excellent breakfast with lovely produce. This is the 3rd year we have been Harrogate and the previous b and bs we not as homely and friendly as this we will return next year.
welcoming, helpful and friendly staff.Excellent tea/coffee facilities in room and super breakfast.
Lack of proper shower facilty in Room 7. I found it unsatisfactory and Shirley just didn't use it. Probably my fault I should have asked for room with separte shower. Glad Jo had one.
This hotel was very close to Harrogate Conference Centre which made it ideal for business
A lot of External and Interna; Stairs Not suitable for people with mobility issues
Location to town and conference centre Food very good
Too much clutter/in a dark small bedroom and furniture rather dusty, Not good for my hay fever
Excellent breakfast - served very quickly. Very friendly staff.
Shortage of drawer space in room. Lots of stairs - not suitable for those with disabilities
Bacon was cooked well. Comfortable bed.
Not very welcoming and cold. Asked for postcode of Betty's Tearoom, said that they did not have a computer. I phoned the Belmont House to ask about parking; I am disabled with ms. The proprietor said that there was a car park nearby, or I can be dropped off. Firstly I have crutches and cannot walk far, and secondly I was the driver, I can hardly drop myself off, what do I do with the car. I did mention these but it fell on deaf ears. They mentioned in the advertisement that they had parking at the establishment, but they did not bother mentioning it to me. In the twin room the shower did not work, so my sons could not get washed properly and a bath was out of the question. Breakfast was ok. Lots of 60's music coming through into the breakfast room, don't need that first thing in the morning, even though I like the music. Tiny bathroom and bedroom. Remote did not work for tv.
Breakfast was outstanding
Bed was a wee bit small but we are used to a superkingsize.
really convenient for walking into town.we were here for a concert. full English brekkie .could have done with another sausage.oo- err missus!
mattress was abit lumpy.i slept well but missus was moany.
Owners were very friendly and welcoming.
The guest house was very tired looking, needs updating. Our room was in need of full redecoration and the bathroom door had broken meaning no privacy.
Thank you for recommending the scenic route. While it was quite hair raising at times & there was a constant misty rain, the views were spectacular.
Room was nice and spacious.
One night I was told that the room is overbooked so for next night we will shift you to the hotel adjacent which was an extreme inconvenience. Also the room provided next door was small and was not worth the price charged. I will not recommend.
easy walk into the town on-site parking breakfast
broken shower door late arrivals in the room above us -arrived at 3.00 am and did not settle until 4.00 window in bedroom did not open and the one in the en-suite very stiff
handy for town center, restaraunts, staff helpful with directions
would have prefered a shower to a bath
location and service
check out is too early should be 12
central location, free parking at rear
very small, cramped room, view of car park at back, tiniest shower room on the planet and toilet in separate "cupboard" - you have to walk across the bedroom to wash your hands.
very good quality breakfast
shower small and door stuck
Everything possible done for a pleasant and comfortable visit to Harrogate, couldn't have been more helpful.
Great owners and friendly service. Car park helps too. Very clean
Tiny Bath and shower is useless. No water pressure on top floor. Shame to mention, but these really need addressing.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Belmont. It exceeded our expectations and we would happily book again when staying in Harrogate. The location is also a big plus, close enough to the centre, but far enough away to ensure a good nights rest.
The only minor downside were the cane chairs in the room were not comfortable to sit on.
location, friendly staff, good breakfast, locstion
Only had a bath tub with hand shower.
Good location, hospitable & helpful owners
Was a bit tired and could do with a good clean & redecorate. None of the doors shut, especially the bathroom so had to wedge something to keep door shut. Was annoyed to find out that my credit card had been charged at time if booking, over 2 weeks before stay.
