We have never been to Wrexham before, so we were a bit surprised to notice that the city didn't feel very safe. We have also arrived after darkness fell and felt a bit uneasy to have dinner at a local pub (recommended by the owner of Belmont, lovely food, great value, lovely staff). A lot of hooded men (only) around the streets... The hotel though was in a lovely area.
Breakfast was very good, the hotel was interesting, decently clean, spacious rooms and lovely old furniture. We had a family room which was very comfortable however, weirdly enough it had the sink in the room rather than in the bathroom. All in all, it was a very nice deal and most importantly, pet friendly, which seems to be quite a luxury in the area.
