Location. Parking. Atmosphere. Drink selection at the bar. Size of rooms and sofa and chair to relax on. Price. Our room was quite dated compared to those in the pictures. Very very soft bed.

Excellent friendly and professional staff. Great breakfast & always lovely to walk to city centre along New Walk. EAsy access to the train station Booking system is new and very difficult for the team to decipher, to the extent that I got a call on the secong morning to check whether I was in the room. Instant coffee withthe breakfast ... really an unecessary downgrade, please bring back the caffetiere Gluten free toast + a roll fished from the freezer - all previous visits the gluten free bread (pre requested) has always been the best on the market at the time ... the lack of attention to detail makes the difference between definitely staying at the Belmont & going somewhere else

night porter was excellent. moved me to another room with charm when the first was very noisy (there was a party downstairs). Your staff were not able to use the new computer system. I am waiting for my bill to be sent to me.

The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help us. The beds were extremely comfortable and breakfast was very good. We liked the little blue led lights in the bathroom and the free toiletries were of very good quality. The hotel is in an excellent location, making it easy to get to central Leicester. Our room wasn't particularly clean and we had to go to reception to get it sorted. In fairness they sent someone up straight away but it kind of took the shine off the visit. Bedding and towels were spotlessly clean, but the toilet wasn'T. It had a ring around the water, a chipped toilet seat and brown grime around the points where the toilet seat is fixed to the toilet itself. Also, the dresser on which the tea and coffee was placed had old spillages on the drawer handles (presumably from drinks made by previous guests), there were several brown drip-spills down two of the walls and the desk was dusty and I could run my fingers through the smears. A lovely man called Raj came and did his very best to sort things out, but I don't really wanting to be standing by while someone cleaned my hotel room. I think the place is obviously cleaned regularly and there's no way it could be described as 'dirty', but it looks as though attention to detail is perhaps missing. This wouldn't put me off staying there again because of the very good location and the excellent staff, but if I were to be given a similar room again I would ask to be moved.

Location to Leicester Tigers Stadium, plenty of eateries, guest parking was excellent. The bed/mattress was extremely uncomfortable, far too soft and we were unable to sleep at all because of this. We feel this ruined our stay and unless the beds are upgraded we would not stay withThe Belmont again and nor would our friends who also stayed there, such a shame as everything else about the hotel, facilities and location were very good.

The hotel was in a lovely position, very close to Sports grounds, city centre & restaurants. Very nice decor and good to have many small bars instead of one big one. Bot myself & my friend in another room found the beds were far too soft. Friend suffers with a bad back & I do if I sleep on soft beds. She was in agony. None of us slept very well.

Staff at the hotel are always friendly and welcoming. The location is so peaceful and yet it is close to the city centre for shopping and site seeing. There can be problems with delays in breakfast service on quieter days. Although there seems to be sufficient waiting staff in the breakfast room the kitchen seems to be under-resourced. This spoils an otherwise very enjoyable hotel experience.

We liked the room as it was large and clean and stylish. We found the menu in the restaurant a bit offputting as it contained a full list of 'exotic' meals, and it would have been nice to have one or two 'plainer' options, for example duck, or chicken, without nuts, etc.

The hotel was accommodating with three of us sharing and great value for money. We also had a lovely and very reasonable evening meal and a very good breakfast. The hotel was in a great location for all amenities but nicely out of the centre. Can't think of anything we didn't like - we had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again!

The quiet location next to the New Walk, within easy reach of the university, city centre and concert hall. The staff were friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was very comfortable with everything I needed for a one night stay, and the breakfast menu was amazingly varied. The service at breakfast was quick and the food delicious. The bed was too soft and I couldn't turn off the central heating.

Its quiet, yet central location. Helpful staff, late checkout, free car park, actual windows that open, lack of horrid aircon and plenty of mirrors. :D Mattress a tiny bit too soft for my dodgy back but still very cosy for one night.
