Very friendly staff, gorgeous room, powerful shower I didn't not like, but the beds are very soft so no good for people with bad backs!

It was warm and comfortable on a very cold night, and the room had everything I needed. The tray with kettle, cups etc for hot drinks was in the wardrobe, which was not very obvious; and there was no convenient electrical point for the kettle.

This was a wonderful hotel and will be our choice for all future trips to Leicester. It was clean and very well managed.. The rooms were lovely and well appointed. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us in every way they could. The location was perfect, close to the university, where our son is attending, and a short walk to the city centre along New Walk, a pedestrian thorough fare. It is also only a short walk to the railway station. It was a very positive experience for us, and positively contributed to our impression of Leicester.

The best thing is the closeness to the university and railway station and New Walk. The staff are excellent and the hotel is quiet - especially room 225. We had to cut our stay short by one night, there was no quibble about this with the reception staff. Excellent, will defitnatly be staying again!

Very quiet location but close to city centre. An old building but facilities fully up to date. Excellent breakfast. No evening meals on Sunday. (But plenty of alternative eating places nearby)

We only stayed overnight but enjoyed a nice evening meal. Also, the children were able to eat a bar meal from a good varied menu. We had a family room. However, it was a twin with a double bed settee. We ended up with the two children sleeping together in the double bed settee because it really wasn't good enough for adults to get a good night's sleep in. However, the room itself was large and generally comfortable. But the children woke up early!!

We have now become regulars due to the charm of the hotel which although not grand is well located; has more than a hint of luxury and the staff seem to rather like working there hence the atmosphere is rather pleasant! Which cannot be bad! When the hotel is full the breakfast reverts to a buffet style which is not unpleasant but I prefer servcie at the table!

Comfortable, good value for money, convenient for the centre of Leicester. It is our hotel of choice when we visit. It can be a bit noisy in some rooms with 'bathroom noises' being clearly audible from the room next door.

Close to amenities, friendly staff, everything satisfactory for a short stay. The bedroom was clean and bed comfortable and fine for a short stay. But the décor was miserable and not a room you would wish to spend any time in.

Great location for a visit to Leicester and in my case the University. A stylish and welcoming hotel a pleasant room with a comfortable bed and facilities. The dining room was attractively decorated and the staff very friendly and helpful without being in the way! Reception staff were equally good. I will definately use the hotel again. On arrival I did ask for a tissue box to be replaced as it was empty but this was not done. Otherwise, satisfied with the service.
