Very friendly staff, gorgeous room, powerful shower I didn't not like, but the beds are very soft so no good for people with bad backs!

Have stayed at the Belmont three times now and each time have found staff to be courteous and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast a choise of continental and hot. Would deffinatly recommend the full English! Havn't eaten in restaurant in the evening so can't comment. Location good as only a short walk into centre of Leicester. Would deffinatly recommend the hotel. Mattress on bed was a bit soft for my liking.

This was a wonderful hotel and will be our choice for all future trips to Leicester. It was clean and very well managed.. The rooms were lovely and well appointed. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us in every way they could. The location was perfect, close to the university, where our son is attending, and a short walk to the city centre along New Walk, a pedestrian thorough fare. It is also only a short walk to the railway station. It was a very positive experience for us, and positively contributed to our impression of Leicester.

The best thing is the closeness to the university and railway station and New Walk. The staff are excellent and the hotel is quiet - especially room 225. We had to cut our stay short by one night, there was no quibble about this with the reception staff. Excellent, will defitnatly be staying again!

Very quiet location but close to city centre. An old building but facilities fully up to date. Excellent breakfast. No evening meals on Sunday. (But plenty of alternative eating places nearby)

We only stayed overnight but enjoyed a nice evening meal. Also, the children were able to eat a bar meal from a good varied menu. We had a family room. However, it was a twin with a double bed settee. We ended up with the two children sleeping together in the double bed settee because it really wasn't good enough for adults to get a good night's sleep in. However, the room itself was large and generally comfortable. But the children woke up early!!

We have now become regulars due to the charm of the hotel which although not grand is well located; has more than a hint of luxury and the staff seem to rather like working there hence the atmosphere is rather pleasant! Which cannot be bad! When the hotel is full the breakfast reverts to a buffet style which is not unpleasant but I prefer servcie at the table!

We visited the hotel as we were in Leicester to visit the Space Centre. I really liked this hotel. It's traditional and my 7 year old son and I were made to feel welcome. The room we stayed in was modern and lovely and warm. The cleanliness of the room and the en-suite was excellent. Although it was not in our room rate we elected to have breakfast and were not disappointed. The range and quality of food would not disappoint. Location wise this hotel is close to City Centre so full array for restaurants available if needed.

Very friendly welcome and exceptionally helpful staff!!!! We had a bar meal in our room which was good value for money. The breakfast was poor for a hotel of this standing, poor quality grapefruit and diluted concentrated orange juice. Cooked breakfast was also decidedly average. The breakfast let down the facilities and staff which was a shame.

The location is great. The beds are super comfy. Food in the bar was well below standard however bar man was understanding. I do find that the hotel staff while they are super friendly and helpful, they seem never to know the location of any of the good local bars or clubs.
