Convenient for parking and shops. Quiet location, but few minutes easy walking to centre
our second room was very nice.
our first room was filthy.
From Arrival to Checkout the Belmont Hotel offers excellent service and comfortable accommodation. Close to all city amenities and the rail way station literally across the road. Stayed as part of a Wedding Party and Staff were so friendly and helpful right through our stay. A special thanks to the reception staff, bar staff and accommodation girls who looked after our every need the morning off the wedding, thanks girls. Definitely will return to the Belmont Hotel.
The room was spacious and well-equipped. I liked the fact that there were about 12 small cartons of milk instead of the usual 4 - I like to have a cup of coffee when I want it not when the hotel management decide I shall have it. The staff were all very helpful and very friendly. I stayed on Sunday evening and the restaurant was closed but I had excellent food from the bar. All-in-all, a superb stay!
Staff very helpful. We had 8 extra guests for breakfast and they kept the resturant open for us.
Room too hot, couldn't open the window much to let more air in
Hotel very nice, rooms spacious and very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, food was really nice
Bar prices were a little steep
Great location close to centre but on quiet side street. Good size rooms, nice and clean. Great facilities at hotel and staff all very friendly and helpful. Really good value for money.
Our particular room was very hot even with the windows open in October which made it a little difficult to sleep but this wouldn't put me off going back to the hotel.
We stayed at the Belmont as we were going to a show at De Monfort Hall. It was the perfect location with just a 10 minute walk to the Hall and in the other direction the shops and restaurants, both reached by strolling along New Walk. We booked a weekend rate £55.00 room and although it was not yet refurbished like some of the others as stated, we found it very clean, tidy and extremely comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and we had a drink in the bar in the evening and the bar staff were also friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this Hotel and would stay here again.
restaurant staff very friendly.
Rooms far too stuffy and warm but too noisy to have window open.
Location on New Walk Close to public transport (train, bus) Pleasant staff
Room could do with refurbishment Someone sat at our breakfast table when we went to the buffet!
Quiet location. Staff at dinner dining pleasant. Chef was able to cater for our request which was not on menu.
Reception area not in front but way to the back. Taxi dropped us and luggages at the front of hotel around 4.30 pm. We needed to pull all the 4 luggages up the steps as there were no staff in sight. Then we had to find our way to reception passing through corridors. Bed was too soft and need to be upgraded. It tilts if one sits on the edge. Hot meal for lunch only available after 12 noon. Perhaps to serve some limited hot meal as an option example spaghetti.
Easy to access and find in the city. Pleasant leafy location very quiet considering the city center position. Good food friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
Nothing. Left feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Best place to stay in Leicester
Price too high
Attentive staff, and very nice décor and furniture
Staff were very friendly and polite. Room was very clean, warm and comfortable. Enjoyed my stay thank you.
Situation. Welcome. Attentive staff. Bar area. Breakfast-quality and options.
Crack and chip in bathroom basin. Bathroom fixtures and fittings need updating. Room faced street, lots of noise came through early morning, despite double glazing, which did not appear air-tight. No real ale available in bar.
Good location, very comfortable and good food. Excellent value for money, though this was based on the Friday night special rate.
I liked everything.
Excellent welcome and very pleasant staff covering all our needs when required. The hotel was situated perfectly as we wanted it to be quiet but not to far from the city centre. Nothing was a problem when we asked. The Family room was spacious and there was plenty of room to move around in without others getting in the way. A very happy stay and would recommend the hotel to others when staying in Leicester.
the only complaint was the mattress on the bed was to soft.
Easy walking distance to City centre and to football and rugby grounds. Easy parking. Good bar area and seating areas
Rooms are a little tired!
The breakfast is really good!
The facilities in the room are a bit old.
location mainly and room facilities
could not connect to wi-fi.
4th stay here - rooms are all a bit different but very comfortable bed and great shower in this one (127). Breakfast good as always, service in bar excellent, such a great location for City Centre, restaurants (we like Shimla Pinks and Kayal, both within walking distance) and near enough to (3rd year Leicester Uni) son's house .
Position of TV - great for in-bed viewing but a little difficult if using the table & chairs (I guess L shaped room layout probably makes it a difficult choice) - only a minor gripe though.
Staff Location Faded elegance Friendly Space in room Shower
good old fashioned service by all the staff great free car parking, excellent location for centre and easy to drive too from m1 teapots that dont spill!
slightly overcooked breakfast
