Most comfy bed at an hotel
Internet was a problem
Good location, restaurant looked good but was fully booked.
Room was oppressively hot even with radiator off & window open. Also v noisy from outside smokers at front of hotel.
Fabulous Food , Staff extremely friendly , polite and helpful. Lovely bedroom and communal areas. Would definitely stay here again.
Gorgeous hotel, rooms are spacious, and a nice friendly atmosphere. Good value for money
Location is very good, close to everything we needed. Wifi is via Cloud which can be a pain, but was better than no Wifi. Bed was very soft and room clean
I asked reception if breakfast was included as I wasn't sure, and the female receptionist looked at our fee and half sneered as she said 'not for that rate'. The bath was a plastic cubical fitted in to the area like you get on old ships. The water pressure was aweful. Although the bed was soft it was only a double and I banged my head on the wardrobe butted up against it. Don't let them book you in to room 138!
The hotel is in an excellent spot, good parking, great breakfast.
Room was too hot and the radiator couldn't be turned off! There was a lot of mould in the bathroom.
convenient location for station and access to city centre. All staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast wonderful. Will stay again.
Love the character of the rooms and the big baths. Food is excellent.
- wifi very fast -staff very helpful -room very comfortable - breakfast fab
- initially booked into single room was above kitchen which was noisy but I was moved to a really nice room without any fuss when I asked to be re-roomed
Perfect hotel to stay at when visiting the De Monfort Hall for a concert
Room was dated and needing a complete refurb
The Belmont has a very relaxing atmosphere. Am happy to visit my son at Uni on my own and do not feel out of place. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent and the hotel itself is great value.
Can be a little too warm if you get above average temperatures in winter.
Tolerance to small children.
Dishes & glasses not cleared away in corridor adjoining New Walk.
Central location and access to New Walk which is a wonderful historic pedestrian link with the city centr.
Bedroom too hot and only one bedside light.
Very busy with Wedding but not a major problem Car parking tight
Good location & comfortable bed.
The room was unbearably hot & noisy. Could hear other guests walking around as the building is creaky, wind howled through the windows all night & walls are paper-thin. We could hear all bathroom noises from next door. Breakfast was a farce, long queues & staff not able to replenish hot buffet quickly enough to keep up with demand. My husband ended up going without.
Left to enjoy are stay and loverly food
My husband and I were very pleased to find that we had been given an upgraded room at no extra charge. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable, with a choice of pillows. There was lashings of hot water and all the plumbing worked well. We had appointments locally and a very pleasant, off road walkway provided a safe and pleasant thoroughfare. Ideally placed for town centre too. Very impressed, good all round hotel.
Lovely staff Power shower Comfy bed Quiet Very near railway station
Tinned fruit at breakfast - would like fresh fruit salad Some blackened grout in bathroom
The room service lady was particularly nice and considerate
A front desk lady named magdalene made me uncomfortable. I had confirmed my check out date and was getting ready to leave. Only for her to call my room to practically usher me out of the hotel.
Food at the bar was quite good and reasonably priced, so if you do not feel like going to town to eat you have an option. The location is amazing not only is it pretty but in close proximity to the town Center and the university.
I would have given the staff, a better rating if hadn't been for the people at the front desk. The breakfast staff and most of the other people were quite polite and helpful. Unfortunately the people at the front desk had bit of an attitude problem. I had booked the room in advance for 9 days , the room I got was small dingy and the carpet was dirty. I requested a room change, the lady was not pleased , she gave us another room which was dark and depressing , although bigger. I would have expected that they would give someone who is staying there for 9 days a nice bright comfortable room , and it wasn't as if they did not have such rooms! Attitude of people at the front desk can totally turn you off.
Food great. Staff helpful Close to amenties
We had beetles in our room. The carpets need changing as bit shabby and needed a steam clean.
Comfortable bed and nice duvet.
Wedding reception evening disco.Could hear the music in my room, until quite late.
We booked out a good few of the rooms and each one was impeccable, the reception staff were excellent and very helpful. The function room staff were very accommodating and the bar staff very friendly
Good location (we were here to visit Leicester Uni) very clean, good size room (standard double), comfortable bed and pillows, lovely breakfast.
Even with all 3 windows open and the radiator off our room (103) was so hot we barely slept!
