Excellent buffet for the funeral I attended.
Although I could connect to wifi the jwlees internet connection did not work. Not the end of the world but it would have been nice to have the connection.
Very easily booked on line at reasonable cost. Reasonable location and parking.
Felt staff could have been more pleasant and welcoming. To arrive at reception finding notice to make way to bar where staff standing in conversation at bar perhaps not what you expect!! Having had over 7 hour journey really looked forward to a Dram Bhuie with ice ! When I asked for same was given rather strange look as if I had asked for something obscure. Was offered a Baillies!!
No sausage at breakfast
Excellent location. Good service.
Had a great time, Bar staff terrific, room clean and b/fast superb. I even left my mobile charger in the room which they found and returned it to me. Thank you.
Everything was lovely
food, most staff were excellent, some staff were dreadful... suite we stayed in was clean and spacious
Food over cooked, breakfast average, milk for cereal was off, general cleaniness of hotel average
Generally friendly staff
General lack of cleanness in bathroom and eating areas.
Steak and ale pie was good although couldn't taste the ale.
Staff did not offer to carry my bag to room. Sheets were not fresh. Large hole in duvet cover. Two bottles of shower gel, one handwash but no shampoo!
friendly staff nothing too much trouble
on arrival could not find hotel reception it would be helpful to have a sign outside
Breakfast good and plentiful Clean and comfortable Staff pleasant But in Room 21 up many stairs and no lift which wasn't ideal
The room was nice, the bed comfy, and we enjoyed the tea and biscuits! Would stay again as it is not far from family.
Hotel room set up disorientating up and down stairs
The location was good as we were going to a party at our friends in Sale. The room was presentable (apart from being dusty) The breakfast was nice and the staff were pleasant. The price was quite reasonable considering the time of year.
The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. My husband said the room was dusty and needed to be dusted.
Great welcome on arrival Very good food in pub Bedroom very comfortable and liked the decor. Great hospitality from staff
minor point perhaps tiles around the mirror above bath need regrouting.
Loved the decor of the rooms. V comfy.
The location is great and the general facilities good. We will probably book again at the Belmore the next time we travel north ......
Bit of a rabbit warren if you haven't stayed before.
room keys never seemed to work nobody at reception most of the time we had to go and find someone.
Room decor and cleanliness was excellent. Staff were very helpful.
Very long wait, 40 minutes, for breakfast to be served as they said it was cooked to order. Back of house public areas not very pretty so hence the 4 score for cleanliness.
Location was good for us
Room above bar/restaurant, extremely loud music and loud voices from pub quiz until midnight. Had to request a second bath towel. No shower gel or shampoo. Food was poor.
Ran out of eggs. Not that I am an egg fan but come on. Its a restaurant, they have a chef, they are doing breakfast for x guests and there is a mini supermarket just down the road. Really not difficult...
The room was lovely with a 7 foot bed and huge bathroom. It's a pity that the duvet was too small for the bed as we had to sleep in the middle to make sure we were both covered. It would have been much better with 2 single duvets on such a large bed. It is a lovely building and very well located for the tram into Manchester. The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere in the bar is good. There is also plenty of parking which is something I always look out for.
The breakfasts were a disaster area. Every morning there was something that was not available - on our last morning they didn't even have any eggs. The poor waitress (who was lovely) was obviously very embarrassed at having to tell each table which items were not available that morning. In the end I ordered a croissant which I was told would take 20 minutes as it was freshly baked. It came golden brown on the top and raw in the middle (obviously a frozen one) and was totally inedible. My husband ordered the full English breakfast each morning but the food that arrived was poorly cooked, luke warm and very greasy (almost raw sausages and rubbery bacon). The shower in our room did not drain properly, so you had to either turn it off halfway through to allow the water to drain away or be very quick before the bathroom flooded. The whole shower cubicle could do with a good clean as there were signs of mould on the grouting (very easy to deal with by applying a bit of bleach - so why don't they?) The food in the bar is OK at best, but very expensive for what you get - we only had a main course and one drink each and the bill came to £38. For pub food I would have expected to pay much less. All in all, not very impressed.
Easy parking, quiet, clean and comfortable
Cooked breakfast not great.
Very nice room and bed. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The food was very disappointing. Both dinner and breakfast were sub par. Under staffed at key times
nice location easy access
only sunday lunch menu available
