The Hotel is in an very good location, very clean and the staff very helpfull. The Hotel is on the main road if you have a room at the front of the building it can be very noisey as we found to the early hours.

The buffet breakfast was ok. The room was small and dirty, the bathroom was even smaller and dirtier. The bathroom smelt of stale urine, there was black mould around the smallest shower cubicle I have ever encountered at a hotel. To the amusement of my wife I had to squeeze myself through the shower door, into a cubicle which was shorter than me, with a fixed shower head I had to crouch under to wash my hair. The free wired internet they advertise in your room allows you to view the hotel web site, if you want browse the internet or check your e-mails It's £5. per 24 hours. Our friends room was the same, the first thing they mentioned was their disappointment with their room and the smell of stale urine in their tiny shower room. The rooms we stayed in were tired, dated, dirty and in need of a good proper clean. It spoilt an otherwise great weekend. As it was a one night stay we put up with it, any longer and we would have changed hotel. We will never stay at the Belvedere Hotel ever again.

The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The price was fair when compared to some others. Very close to the city centre. Half of the facilities were out of order. I was disappointed with that. The corridors were all smelly. Hotel definitely needs a renovation.

The staff were friendly & helpful The hotel looked a bit tired & needed updating. The mattress in the room we were in was so hard we could not sleep. However, on complaining the staff did their best to make it more comfortable. Breakfast a bit crowded & average.

Location was excellent. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good except coffee was instant. Pool etc was good. Bar not open on time and no food of any kind available on the Sunday evening. Decor was decidedly tired and the lift a nightmare to use - needs updating. Breakfast was good except coffee was instant - not acceptable these days.

It was very convenient for all attractions and town centre. We all agreed the hotel is looking a little tired and could do with a lick of paint here and there, but it was comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Staff were polite and helpfull and check in / check out was brief.

The location was great for the town, beach and restaurants, The Staff were extremely friendly and had a really nice comfortable feeling, The Breakfast was the best one we have had in a Hotel for years. The Room needs a little redecorate, but the bed, bed linen and towels were extremely clean. We will definately stay at this Hotel again.

There is more than sufficient parking adacent to the hotel which is located close to town centre and seafront. It has a well-stocked bar and friendly bar staff. Overall it has clean, if somewhat basic, bedrooms and facilities. Excessive road noise could be heard in the front bedrooms until the early hours of the morning. Breakfast did not justify the cost either in quality or selection and the food provided for the function was disappointing.

The staff were welcoming, and it had a large free car park. Although we didnt use it there was a leisure complex and swimming pool. The bar was reasonably priced and seemed popular, and had some good beers on draught. It was within walking distance of the town, so there was a good selection of restaurants fairly close by. The room we were in was of a good size, and the bed was comfortable, and the room was warm on a cold January weekend. The decor in the room was a bit dated and tired, in that some of the wallpaper was peeling back behind the radiators. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge, in order to keep a bottle of beer or wine cool, as the bars closed at 11pm, which seems rather early for a resort type hotel.

“Fantastic family friendly hotel with large rooms and lots of space. We had a large double room with two extra camp beds put in and still had space to swing a cat or two!! The swimming pool area is lovely and although children are only allowed at certain times it is still very family friendly. Breakfast is great and again it is family friendly, my children were very pleased to be allowed to choose their own breakfast!” Agnes, Reading |
