Breakfast was tasty, hot - not a massive cooked breakfast but very nice. Kids had cereal and plenty of toast. Staff very helpful in the breakfast room. Bed comfy and plenty of space in the bedroom. Although near Paddington could only hear faint rumble of the tube on the second floor - some feedback on this hotel said it was very loud I would disagree. We were able to leave our bags here prior to checking in at no charge. There was a £5 charge to leave the bags after we had checked out.
Staff on entrance a little disinterested not a fantastic greeting but not rude. Had a group of loud lads in the room above us but wasn't the hotels fault but I was surprised they were not told to calm down at 5 in the morning.
English breakfast; Good staff; Price; Helpful staff.
The first positive thing of this hotel is location - it is near to Paddington train and metro station (2-3 minutes). Lovely Oxford street and Hyde park are also within walking distance (20 minutes). Wi-fi works fine. Breakfast is adequate, although it was same each morning. Reasonable price compare to peer hotels nearby.
Single room was very very small. Tiny bathroom and bad. no shampoo. But the most worst thing - it is very noisy, you can hear movement of each metro or train wagon from early morning till late night. No elevator. It is recommendable only if you stay for 1-2 nights and need the hotel only for sleeping.
Staff in breakfast room is unfriendly
Clean, good shower and appropriate (but small) room
Right on top of the Tube: each train that passed made the building shake (+ noise!). Further: English breakfast intermediate, staff indifferent
Safe area, nice clean room well worth worth the money ,good breakfast ,for what we paid very good would use again, short walk from tube station
5 ladies in one big family room bathroom tiny, but for 2 night stay manageable , but worked out 35 pound each a night for bed and breakfast carnt really complain
the was very to small the bed was very very to small breakfest was fair, but the coffe was poor
Breakfast lady was lovely and polite
No hot water riped curtains , staff are rude , had to walk up 90 stairs room really small , and would never stay here againe "
Location was very close to the underground station Paddington and also within walking distance of Oxford Street. Reception was open 24/7. Free WIFI which worked perfectly fine.
Good location friendly staff
The price and the fact it was a room for 5 people also very close to Paddington underground, we are not people who need to stay at the ritz to be happy we wanted a weekend with the kids in London on a budget and we did just that. Would use again
Location, customer service, rooms were ok.
Decor was tired, ensuite was Cramped
location near Paddington
noise from underground
no elevator, tiny room
The staff where very kind and helpful, Good food and excellent service. Excellent location for getting around.
Wished my say was longer, not just for one night.
Staff were very helpful
close to Paddington Station in a very private street; will stay here again
the underground trains could be heard & felt whilst in the hotel. thankfully it did'nt impact too much on our sleep as they stopped around 1.00am
No shower gel or biscuits in room.
I liked the morning food and clean and comfortable bed
I didn't like the room we was up 5 flight of stairs 61 in total. no bathroom in our room, each time we needed the loo we had to go down 46 stairs to the loo and back up phew it was hard work so this needs to be looked at. when I booked I did not know that there was not a bathroom I thought all hotel rooms had a bathroom or a toilet
Nothing at all
Very bad. How come this thing is rated as hotel? It is a bad bread and breakfast!!! The tiniest room I've ever stayed in. Dirty. Uncomfortable. English breakfast or nothing (you take it or you leave it). Absolutely terrible
Being by the beautiful park, but yet so close to all the shops and restaurants was wonderful!! The bathroom was really nice!! The breakfast was really good!!
No air conditioning. We could not even open the window more then three inches. The bed took up most of the room. Every time we left the hotel we had to give the key to the front desk. That was just weird. Cause if they had a fire? I think that is what they said.REALLY!!
The staff was friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was a good size. This is a hotel that I would definitely recommend to friends and colleagues looking for a place to stay while they are in London. The proximity to the Paddington Station makes it so easy and convenient to move around.
Breakfast was very good. Cooked lovely Lady serving was really helpful Room was very clean and tidy Young man on the desk was kind helpful. Plan to book again on my next visit
We found the quality of service was excellent from such a friendly helpful staff always very pleasent and the receptionist was always very polite and helpful, happy to have a chat with you. For a budget priced hotel in this area it was more than value for money, just one word to describe it.. EXCELLENT
There was nothing to dislike with this property
