Number Four Boutique Hotel  

All the staff were extremely efficient and welcoming. The breakfast menu was superb with plenty of options to satisfy anyone. The well-presented complementary tea & coffee was welcome after a hard day out enjoying ourselves! Every part of the hotel was immaculately kept. We would definitely stay at No 4 again.

We liked the friendliness of staff, the cleanliness, the design of the hotel and rooms, the comfort of the bed, breakfast was excellent, great choice of food. Location couldn't be better. Would definitely stay there again.

I Have ticked luxury because of the quality of the furnishing and the finish of the hotel which was excellent, I would imagine it has a high business use but would be perfect for holiday or fab weekend break, Mary who greeted us on our arrival is delightful, nothing is to much trouble and very friendly, the staff at breakfast were polite and efficient food was very good freshly prepared and the dining room was lovely, would happily stay here gain and will recommend to all.

The only issue is the parking but it is a town house and there is parking on the road,

Absolutely 10 out of 10. I travel quite a lot and staff were best I've ever encountered. Excellent food and service. Definitely visit again. Close to venues, beach, Common.

This hotel has just been opened 2 months and it uses good fittings and design furnitures. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful.

We were only staying 1night but the staff were very polite & the breakfast lovely. It was very quiet.

Initially we went in the Hotel next door which was also called Boutique hotel. They were very courteous but it was a bit embarrassing!

An amazingly friendly and fantastic hotel to stay in Portsmouth. Breakfast in Bed, great coffee and a brilliant food from a great chef. Totally recommended - 100%

The hole in the car park needs to be addressed as it made parking difficult and gives the wrong impression.

First thing that strikes you as you walk in is the friendly, amenable staff. Second is the decor which is tastefully selected to make this feel a quite special boutique hotel. The area is quiet yet close to the beach and it is easy to get to centre of Portsmouth. There is also a bus stop outside which makes it very convenient if you do not want to use your car.

We occupied the small bedrooms on the ground floor which is fine if you are on a budget but the bathroom consisting of a toilet and shower was pretty cramped. Probably the larger more deluxe rooms were without this problem.

Very stylish hotel with every room decorated in a different style. The staff were exceptional and did everything and more to make you feel welcome. There was a lovely lounge where the staff would bring you tea or coffee.

we stayed in a small double room and were happy with that but the bathroom was minute. It was beautifully decorated but the sink was so small you couldn't really wash your face in it. There was nowhere to hang wet towels after your shower either. No door hooks etc. As the room was on the ground floor, just near Reception, and a lot of the floors were wooden it was quite noisy when people were coming in or going out. It did mean that were woken several times as people returned back to the hotel late at night,
