Beautiful area, close to many Lochs, Glens, mountains and rivers. Many natural places of interest within short driving distance. Great place for walkers and adventurers. The lovely quaint village has various eateries, a supermarket store The Green Welly and petrol station.

Crianlarich is the village at the gateway to the Highlands...
Crianlarich is the village at the gateway to the Highlands proper, as you travel up the A82. Station, post office, pub, hotel, village shop all good (no cafe at the moment, it was on the station platform but closed in August 2023). Only a few spots (e.g. the railway station) have a 4G signal. Several accommodation options including the upmarket Hotel. Food at the hotel, or at the Rod & Reel, or 10 min up the road in Tyndrum.

This is a great location for walkers and climbers.
This is a great location for walkers and climbers. There are a few munro in area and Ben Nevis is close by if you are interested, personally I have tried Ben More in the past but it's quite a dangerous climb if the weather closes in.

I have spent only one night in Crianlarich on my journey on West highland road. I like the little village atmospehere, the cosy grocery shop with a nice lady. The area is just perfect starting point for different walks and hiking. I would return for some more time. The accomodation there (Youth hostel) was very comfortable, I enjoyed it!

We only stayed one night and would return.
We only stayed one night and would return. The room was very clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable. Goid choice of breakfast items and lovely homemade preserves. The owner was very welcoming.
The cabin was lovely, it was built in front of some pine trees and it felt like being out in the wilderness when it was quiet. The village of Crianlarich is a 10 minute walk, there is a pub a shop and a hotel there with a public bar.
I arrived with a lot of luggage and when my check out day arrived, the chap who runs the place kindly gave me a lift to the hotel for the next part of my journey.
The accomodation will be fantastic in the warmer weather, and I believe that there are BBQ facilities available.
Friendly welcome from host, extremely clean all through the building and the room, including the bathroom. Beautiful location with walks around the property and up into the hills if you want. Excellent breakfast, I had a full Scottish fried breakfast and its was as good as Ive ever had, even in top hotel restaurants. Very comfortable and good nights sleep in a quiet location, its close to the main road but not within hearing distance.
The location was great. The lodge was lovely and warm when we arrived. Nice comfy beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful, lovely showers and very clean and welcoming. We had a very nice meal delivered to the lodge as we had our dogs with us and didn't want to leave them as we had just arrived. Next morning a lovely breakfast menu and cooked to perfection. Thank you all at Ben More Lodge, hope to visit again.
Excellent stay! Room was very nice and light. Bed was big and comfortable. At arrival the host asked what we would like for breakfast, the next morning it was served as requested.
Fishing in the stream was possible, caught 2 brown trout. Good parking accomodation.
If you spend the night here, defenitely go eat at the local pub in Crianlarich, lovely food!
The communal areas were large and well equipped. A nice place to eat, and relax. The staff gave a warm welcome and were very helpful. Lovely location too. It was a nice touch to have usb charging points in the bedroom too. The shop down the road had ample supplies for food for dinner, and the bar in the best western hotel was nice for a drink.
Great breakfast. Absolutely everything you could want and more. Very friendly and welcoming host. The room
was spotlessly clean and comfortable and had excellent views to the hills opposite. An excellent base for those on walking holidays. The walk into Crianlarich takes 10-15 minutes.
Breakfast was good!
We were booked to be in Glenbruar House and when when checked in we found out we were going to be in the Main Hotel so questions were answered for staying in the hotel itself. We would definitely consider staying here again when we are next in Scptland. Thanks.
This hotel offers you very comfortable rooms. It is on the route of the West Highland Way. So a nice stay to recover.
The staff is friendly and the breakfast was very good. There is also a restaurant in the hotel where you can eat a more than average meal in a cosy atmosphere.
They actually had a medical thing come up, so booked us next door. We showed up, they apologized profusely, but it was all the same to us! Both places are cute homes in Crianlarich, just off the WHW and an easy walk to dinner. Everyone at both houses was quite lovely!
I loved the room and the beds were comfortable. I was so happy to have a fan to run at night for white noise and cool air (I'm always hot). That was a thoughtful touch. The restaurant served delicious food and even had folk singers that were excellent!
Veronica and Colin clearly take pride in providing their guests with exceptional food and accommodations. The quality of their facility was incomparable thus far on the way. We have stayed in many lovely places, but theirs is full of loving touches.
Very comfy and cosy bedroom. Option to use a bath if preferred to the shower en-suite. Wonderful breakfast included with lots of choice. Owners friendly and gave lots of information about surrounding area and restaurants.
Lovely hotel with nice comfy bar area and restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfy and shower had good pressure. Food quality and variety very good too.Good value
very friendly hosts who had great local knowledge. the property is really close to restaurants and the shop which was perfect after a long day walking.
