service from staff
WiFi not so good
Really good sized bedrooms, really comfortable bed. Good parking and tasty breakfast.
Information supplied had loads of things to do but nothing about local taxis or restaurants.
Everything is good
It's a really nice house with quality furnishings and good breakfast.
The house did not have a "lived in" feel. Two charming helpful assistants but the owner did not seem to be in residence.
Quiet location, close to an excellent restaurant within walking distance. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff, willing to help.
Small bedroom. small shower room. Lighting wasn't great. Didn't get a room with a view, even though the hotel was quiet. No TV in the room - guest lounge with TV very cold, but I didn't want to ask them to make up the fire. Breakfast wasn't wonderful - eggs cold, toast cold, milk sour twice! Loved the old house, but the decor was very dated.
Wouldn't let me have breakfast before 8 am. Was late for 9 am appointment. Need breakfast before 8 am
The house is very homely and cosy set in a stunning location. The staff and management are extremely polite and friendly, going over and beyond to help in any way they can. Highly recommend, I hope to come back.
Great location and the staff were all really friendly. Rooms were huge, with great views. Really peaceful!
Homeliness, freedom to use lounges throughout the day, great location close to good restaurant
It's situated on the river and has stunning views.
I thought breakfast could have been earlier. My only options limited me to 8.30 and 9.00. This would prevent me from staying again as I like to be up early and out to do my activies.
Everything was perfect right down to the great managers. It even snowed which added to the great experience. I will definately be back when in Scotland. Super impressed.
No complaints at all.
I spent the most beautiful winter of my life here. The guest house is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by the river, mountains and forests. Our hosts did everything for our comfort. Our holiday was a magical, wonderful and unforgettable experience. Thank you, and we will definitely return!
Stunning location, comfortable bed and room, good shower, excellent breakfast, very nice guest lounges, exceptional value. As a solo traveller very much enjoyed my stay.
Tv available in the lounge but unusual these days for there to be no tv in the room.
Everything apart from weather
Pleasant and friendly host. Superb location with extensive gardens and views at the front to the River Tay nearby. Evening meals available within 5 minute walk across the bridge. Charming/interesting décor, furniture, pictures and ornaments, etc., Good breakfast menu. Probably an idyllic place to stay during warm spring/summer weather...
Central heating, throughout the house, is inadequate for cold winter nights. No welcoming/warming open fires in either lounge or the dining room - very disappointing! Cooked breakfast was barely lukewarm and served on cold plates - due to malfunctioning food warming unit in kitchen? (We could/should have asked for it to be reheated, I suppose...) No tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom (were available in the cold lounge). Couldn't access wifi at all.
The lady was friendly and the breakfast was ok.
We arrived around 6pm and expected to stay in the room the afternoon but it was freezing. The lady told us she had forgotten to put on the heating before but given this fact, she should have done much more to help. They should have extra radiators in case that happened, or at least make sure all the radiators were on (the one on the bathroom wasn't and across the house in each room some were on and others not). When I came in to have a shower to heat up the feet towel was wet. I felt uncomfortable in my stay, and its a pity beacause the house is beatiful and the room is huge.
The place and the surroundings are marvelous and we had a taste of Scotland country
Too short stay
Hospitality, food and overall location was excellent.
Not essential as there is a TV lounge and Coffee/Tea making facilities, it would be nice to have these in your room.
Friendly staff, accommodating, clean, hospitable, organised. Excellent
Not a negative...just a comical interpretation of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup!! ;)
the charm of the old house , bedroom was huge bed was so comfy, staff were lovely we were only ones booked in so had whole house to ourselfs .
no tv in bedroom you had to use living room which was great as we were only couple there had there been others i prob woud,nt have went down.
Location, staff, old world comfort, Breakfast. relaxing environment serviced by friendly and effecient staff, a wonderful 5 days, wish it could have been longer but will definitely stay here again.
Everything was perfect
it's a super nice place, we loved everything: the rooms, the bathroom, the surroundings, the town. sadly we overslept so we couldn't enjoy that breakfast that was surely awesome as well.
fascinating experience like going back in time and being privileged to stay in such a wonderful house. We will be back! The staff are a treasure.
absolutely nothing to complain about.
Breakfast was excellent; staff very friendly and welcoming; close to golf course and walks. A stunning property.
Lovely old Victorian House. Original oil paintings adorn the walls. Bed was by far the comfiest I think I've been in and room was nice and warm. Good wi-fi connection in room and wasn't bothered that there was no TV or tea/coffee making facilities in room. There is a communal living room on the ground floor with TV and a 'reading room' next door where you can make your own hot drinks and eat custard creams from the biscuit jar. Breakfast was excellent. Location was just fine, only about a 10-15 minute drive from Pitlochry and there was a small village a short walk away across the river with some shops and a couple of pubs. Would stay again no question.
I thought the lack of TV in my bedroom would be missed but it wasn't. A good promotion for book reading instead!
