It was spacious, and so was the room, it was clean and the breakfast an evening meal was tasty and we eat in the bar, so it was also good value for money in comparison with other hotels we stayed at whilst walking the west highland way I thought the building, rooms, decor was tasteful, but rather tired looking, carpets worn ect.. could be doing with some re decorating or a freshen up

Very clean, staff friendly & efficient. The location for Highlands is good. Some good aspects in bedroom. Bathrooms have excellent water pressure. Very dated. TV & radio reception primitive or non-existent. Two 1950's aerials on top of TV is the give-away. Unable to watch in bedrooms. Wifi poor and ineffective. In dire need of investment and updating in some public areas and staircases/corridors. Good aspects of hotel far outweighed by negative aspects.

The hotel room was basic but fine for a short getaway. I could hear loud music from somewhere, but in fairness this did stop at a reasonable time.

The staff at breakfast were very pleasant. The Hotel is average and could do with some investment, the bedrooms are ok but the bathrooms are in need of refurbishment. The Bar staff could have smiled during the evening, perhaps the lack of staff in the busy period was making it hard work for her? Unfortunatley there was a few guests who woke us up in the middle of the night, not the hotels fault granted, but when mentioned to reception in the morning they were not interested.

liked being able to use the pool & sauna and proximity to Fort William. Nice big room. The window didn't shut properly so the room was cold. The emergency exit doors in the corridors and in the pool area were left open giving very cold areas - especially just out of the pool. The walls were thin so didn't get much sleep due to neighbours. The bathroom was not clean around the skirting and I found ants around the taps in the sink.

Dog friendly, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, convenient for town centre, swim suits for sale if you wanted at pool, I had forgotten mine..good breakfast excellent porridge just needed a bit more milk!! The gym was a bit on the warm side and I got too hot quite quickly, I couldn't work the running machine, but that's just me probably!

It is in a convenient location for travelling in the area with sight of the surrounding mountains. Communal areas within the building have a real sense of space. Leisure facilities and opening times are unmatched in the Fort William area allowing our teenager to burn up energy in the gym whilst the rest of the family relaxed in the pool and other facilities. There are lovely, quality white towels provided in the rooms. The Mira over bath mixer shower was also great and the shower curtain was quality and clean. It was good to have a window view to a private garden/wooded area also. The provision of complementary shower gel, skin moisturiser, towels & "wet kit" bags in the leisure facility was also a nice touch. The staff are polite and professional in going about their duties. There was a good selection of bar meals available at reasonable prices and it was handy to be able to charge these to your room and then pay the whole bill upon checking out. The breakfast also had a good selection of continental and cooked options available. There was a good large screen tv on the wall in the bar area – handy as mid week football was on. There are a couple of cracked floor tiles and missing upstand and handrail from main ramp entrance. The baths are about 200mm shorter than standard. In our bathroom we had chipped enamel on the base of the bath, a missing piece from a tile above and behind our w/c cistern, an ackward to use domed w/c flush button, a cold and uncomfortable tiled floor, inadequate steam extraction, a non working and rusty radiator. My oldest daughter’s room stunk of bleach when we arrived–possibly masking a damp smell. The old sliding mirrored doors in my other children’s room came off easily (twice in our case). One of the old desk lamps in our room was not working, the remote to the old tv in our room (like one I owned 10+ yrs ago) did not work, There was no hairdryer in the rooms and the one "borrowed" from the front desk was not working but gave off a smell of burning when turned on. It seems like the service team have given up on the sub standard specification and very obvious lack of investment over some years. The food in general was also too oily for my taste with me having to cut off 1 side of the batter from my fish during my bar meal and the breakfast items are swimming in a literal bath of oil making it taste and feel heavy. The rooms are really of an unacceptable standard for today’s market and particularly given the prices charged raising the expectation for a standard of excellence that bettered local budget options. It fell sadly far short in my estimation. This was matched by the poor times for breakfast serving, check in &check out compared to other local and better value options.

The hotel was only ten minutes walk out of Fort William near the train station. My room was clean with a bath and shower. I enjoyed the sauna, steam, jacuzzi and pool and the facilities were open at decent times so you could go first thing before breakfast and after a day's sight seeeing. the breakfast was plentiful with alot of choice and catered for my vegetarian needs and the staff were professional. I would definately stay there again especially at the price I paid last minute as a solo traveller.

Breakfast was good 1. Hotel is run down, in need of refurbishment. 2. Noisey, during the night. 3. Not clean. Especially on-suite. 4. Bar lady was ignorant, on more than one occassion, too busy talking to men, to serve and was disrespectful to her co-workers. Tall local girl.

Very nice spa facilities with good size pool. Perfect facilities for relaxing after scaling Ben Nevis. Breakfast was very good although only served until half 9 even on Saturday. Bar staff were very friendly and the food was very reasonable. The room facilities were reasonably clean and comfortable although somewhat compact. The bathroom facilities were very disappointing and although there was a plentiful supply of hot water the bathroom suite was very outdated and more like those found in a 70's council house. Breafast timings at the weekend were disappointing only served 730-0930 on Saturday.
