Facilities of bungalow Next to supermarket Friendly staff
Wifi does not work in bungalows at all
Very nice hotel and great staff good food and amazing room
I liked all they had to give
We were complimentary upgraded on arrival. The room was a lot bigger than what you would get in a Travelodge or Premier Inn. The tv in the bedroom was also huge. It was a really enjoyable stay with friendly and polite staff.
Rooms with plenty space and related facilities. Although we only stayed for 3 nights, when there were fewer other residents, we were cared for very well
We liked the individuality and style of the hotel. The food was good. We selected from bar and restaurant menus and enjoyed both. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff very welcoming and friendly.
There was nothing we did not like.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and we were made to feel welcomed. The food in the restaurant was delicious I would definitely recommend eating there. This is a lovely hotel and is situated across the road from the tissington trail and a few minutes walk from Town
There are no lifts in this hotel and we were on the top floor which was a little tiering especially after a long walk. I would return again but would request a room on a lower floor
Great Character building. Good night sleep and nice full English :-)
The massive four poster bed with extremely comfortable mattress and bedding. Bottle of red wine in the room, and champagne and birthday cake on request. Nicci, the Manager was fantastic, she was so polite and really helped with the birthday surprise I had planned for my other half. She gave us some great recommendations too. Food was fantastic! Loved the decor and style of the place, warm and traditional.
Duration of stay was not long enough!
Friendly girl on reception
No choice of white wine with the offer at dinner, it was not dry enough
The receptionist, Nicky, was a very personable character. She made the stay very welcoming and always had a pleasant disposition. The room was clean and adequate in size. Car parking wsa no problem
Perhaps a more comfortable chair in the bedroom would have been advantageous but this didn't detract from the overall pleasure of the stay at the hotel.
We used the Bungalow for a one night stop over, before visiting Alton Towers, Excellent stay, every thing we wanted, clean tidy and good facilities. We all said we would recommend this Hotel, and would used it again to explore the area, which looked very nice.
A place, full of character, furnished in period style, stylish decor. Full of atmosphere. David, the "Innkeeper" is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very welcoming. The chef is a gem and the food selection and quality, outstanding. Spend a little more and go for one of the four-posters. Nice touch. Will definitely be back for a more prolonged stay
Hospitality and food
The hotel was very quiet, the room was very comfortable, the location was excellent and Manager Nicky was especially friendly and helpful.
Excellent services not rushed always knew where we had been and recommended other things to do. Great time relaxing do it again
Bathroom was a bit dated but that was all really.
Very helpful & pleasant receptionist. Lounge and bar area very interesting and comfortable. Meal delicious.
The bungalow was ideal for our group of adult travellers as we could come and go as we pleased. Hotel is centrally located near the town with easy access to the peak district and other attractions.
Location, you can walk into the centre of Ashbourne Good breakfast
Bed a bit saggy & squeeky NO WIFI in our room on 2nd floor, which meant we had to sit in the public room when using Face time. Time to upgrade their Wifi!
slept like I was dead!! Such a comfy bed. Friendly staff! Helpful with directions to other places etc. Would def stay here again!
Breakfast was a bit on the small side!!
The welcoming and Greeting was absolutely Brilliant
There's nothing i didn't like to be honest
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nicki was there to greet us, arranged our taxis and took the time to ask what we were doing and then asked us how it all went. The evening meal in the restaurant was superb.
Manager very welcoming and friendly. All furniture has been carefully selected in early 19th century fashion and gives it a character not seen in modern hotels.Breakfast excellent and the hotel is close to town and the Tissington Trail.
breakfast Bed very comfy
