First time in my life i have decided to write a review. With my husband we spent there 2 unforgettable nights. It was beginning of our holiday. The hotel is so beautiful, quiet, lovely old style and has spacial soul. Breakfast was very tasty in the big nice dinning room. We met there good people, some of them visiting this hotel for many years. I fall in love in Beryl and hope to come back there again this year. Thanks Holly for her hospitality.

Excellent breakfast. Falling asleep counting sheeps.

We felt the welcome was just business like. Maybe because many guests checked in at the same time.

Wonderful Location. I was in one of the rooms on the second floor which was small but big enough for a four poster bed. The views were wonderful, dominated by the Cathedral and for miles beyond. Holly and the staff were all very friendly so were the cats. Nothing was too much trouble.

Gold star welcome with fresh sponge cake and tea. Magnificent furnishings, many priceless antiques. Honesty bar. Excellent en suite. A lovely family feel. Majestic house and grounds.

Not the easiest place to find, more Immediate local signage would help. (Down at main road)

Proximity to very favourable and varied eating places.

Nothing. We could not access Wi-Fi from Mary Ellen, but this was not at the top of our list and we did not ask for help as was clearly recommended in the room lists. This is not a complaint at all - just an observation.

Almost everything. Luxurious surroundings and interesting people to meet. Cleanliness. Excellent beds and quality of linen and towels. Garden, interesting antiques around the house.Very friendly and helpful staff.

Small niggle but somewhere to dry towels e.g heated towel rail would have been good.

A perfect place to relax and unwind. We really loved the cup of tea with cake on arrival, beautiful garden, bluebells, delicious breakfast, warm friendliness and hospitality of the owner and staff. The room was very conformable and quiet looking over the pasture land; literary we could count the sheep before falling into sleep.

This elegant house is a haven just a few minutes away from the city of Wells. It was peaceful and the gardens and views were enchanting. The owner and staff were very welcoming, the room was well appointed, breakfast was excellent and we were encouraged to use all the facilities of the property during the day. Even the two cats were entertaining!

room clean and comfortable , probably the best breakfast eaten for sometime. Very pleasant 2 day stay.

No problem with the B&B, found it difficult in Wells itself to find a good eatery for dinner.

We loved the warmth of the welcome we received. It was gentle and homely, nothing seemed to be too much to ask. There was such a peace and quiet there, a real feeling of "being away" from any noise at all!

The lane leading to Beryl with some nasty pot-holes, being aware meant we could avoid them, no problem.
