The welcome was genuine but not ornate. The surroundings were lovely and the décor was relaxing and had a hint of luxury. Somehow one did feel a guest, rather than a customer

A small problem with tv reception was quickly sorted

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay, a beautiful and grand property kept magnificently by very attentive people. Breakfast was also a joy with a range of fresh fruits, cereals and a cooked breakfast all enjoyed in a relaxed setting. We will return.

This is the second time that we have been to the Beryl, as always the service was excellent, staff friendly, and just a warm and relaxing stay, will definitely be coming again.

The superb friendly nature of our reception, which continued throughout our visit. we visited very close to Christmas and the decorations were magnificent - as if we had been at home.

Loved everything! The welcome was lovely, with tea and home made chocolate and guiness cake offered on arrival. Stunning rooms, full of beautiful antiques, log fires, so comfortable and relaxing. It was everything we wanted and more. A kitchenette on each floor with fresh milk in. A games room with open fire and a delicious breakfast. All wonderful.

Beryl is a hidden gem, I would be pushed to fault anything about my stay here and I would highly recommend this hotel. As one takes breath of the exterior beauty of the hotel and surroundings an even deeper breath is taken once inside.. Pandora's box springs to mind! We were met by Sadie who was very friendly and helpful another real gem as we're the all staff here. The view from the window was pleasant which could be viewed from the very comfortable four poster bed, ( a real life tv) Breakfast was excellent, a very wide choice of delights were to be had which was very filling and set us up for the rest of the day in Bath. Such a delight to find this place , thank you !!!

Staff and beautiful house

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the rooms were very comfy. All in all, an outstanding hotel.

Not as close to the town as I'd have liked, however it was still walkable.

The very warm welcome from the owner together with the ambience of a period house and home. Everything had been provided for our comfort. The grounds were immaculate and there was great provision for children.

The room and the breakfasts, I particularly liked the big tables where you sat next to people who you did not previously know. I met some very interesting people and enjoyed our conversations.

The welcome & friendliness of the staff. It's in a very peaceful location and the breakfasts were brilliant; nothing was too much trouble.

We had a nice room but it was a bit small; we appreciate however that it was one of the cheaper rooms. As a result there was only room for one chair. Nevertheless we believe it was good value for money.
