bathroom very small
The Spa section of the hotel was brilliant and the old part of the hotel was amazing, as were the executive rooms.
The staff were disorganised and the "newer" part of the hotel was a monstrosity from the outside spoiling the general look of the hotel. The rooms were small.
Very impressed with everything - friendly and helpful staff - very comfortable bed - everywhere spotlessly clean - excellent breakfast with choice, quality of food and service
Constant traffic noise throughout the night
Good location for ascot.
We stayed in room 201 which was down two flights of stairs. We had no idea where the lifts were so had to carry luggage. The bar staff were comical; none of then seemed to know what soda was and on many occasions my mother in law got line and tonic not lime and soda. They may require a little more training!
The staff was really nice, near to ascot, quiet place, good parking, nice swimming pool, 18meters, nice spa also, we really enjoyed. Oh and the breakfast was great.
The only thing to improve are the windows, a better noise isolation would help.
Good location Good Staff attention quality of food and the room
noise from a generator operating from 6 am to midnight
Staff are good
Someone walking into my room at 1:30 am due to return arm not closing the door fully!
the room and breakfast great service very good overall a lovely place to stay
The evening meal very expensive and not much choice only had mains as nothing else applied to me. Would eat out both nights next time we go and we would go back.
The spa and pool facilities
The bedroom, the bed wasn't very comfy. Also our room had someone else's nail clippings still on the floor.
Spa facilities were very good.
Firstly my room but after reporting my disappointment I was given another room. Self service breakfast, cold toast cool tea and smoked bacon. Not to my liking.
The room was good, spacious and comfortable.
The bathroom was small in relation to the room and very dated and sad. The basin plughole was blocked and draining very slowly making it difficult to keep clean. We advised reception but nothing was done during our 2 night stay.
Rooms were nice, beds were comfy, was at a wedding elsewhere though so didn't get a chance to experience the full range of facilities.
Had to wait ages to check in, also had to queue ages for breakfast, need more staff when the hotel is full. Breakfast is excessively expensive - I know you can eat as much as you like, but unless you have an enormous appetite you will leave feeling hugely ripped off.
The room after changing, was clean & nice enough, shouldn't be called "an executive" however. The breakfast was abundant. The wait staff should be on the front desk due to their attention to customer service. Good location to our needs.
Dreadful front desk staff, with possible exception to manager "Mario", who at a push passes in my opinion. Views, don't expect any of the greenery of Ascot - a gravel carpark, some euro palettes and cars. Room key didn't work, direction of how to get in and out of carpark not made clear, see first comment. Late checkout confirmed, yet a banging on the door at 12pm was not appreciated, and the poor chap had no record of this agreement so I can't blame him.
Location very good.
Breakfast very expensive and not very good. Evening meal also expensive and definitely not value for money.
Delicious and ethically sourced ingredients for the breakfast with a good choice of food available for vegetarian as well as omnivores. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - my husband doesn't walk very well and the reception staff took some care and trouble to place us in a convenient room.
nothing - my stay was a good experience and we have stayed in 5+star hotels all over the world so my comments are valid.
Domino's Pizza deliver straight to reception!!!!!!!
staff on reception had faces like wet weekends reception TOO small waited AGES room small, bathroom only fit for a hobbit drinks overpriced and by the barman's own admission 'you get ripped off whatever you have' very pood signage inside hotel, nightmare finding reception or carpark hose in gardens a trip hazard got thrown out of outside bar due to wedding (no prior warning when booking) In all, a very impersonal cold hotel and at £264 a night it really is a complete rip off watch your final bill - they added £1 care donation (!!!) and £3 credit card handling fee......got rid of that staright away
The hotel is perfectly placed for Ascot Racecourse. The leisure centre facilities are exceptional. The breakfast and bar food couldn't be faulted. Sonja (bar staff) was lovely.
After we checked in we sat out on the terrace where we waited a very long time for any of the waiting staff to take our orders. In the end we had to stop one of the waiters as he returned from serving another guest! Gym staff weren't at all welcoming, however staff from the beauty spa were very friendly. Pillows weren't particularly good.
Quiet location, comfortable bed
Arbitrary charges added to bill. Very bad WiFi - unusable in room. Very old-fashioned.
Nice grounds, traditional old building, polite and efficient staff
Small rooms, expensive.
1. Being over charged for charity and credit card usage without prior knowledge or agreement. 2. Being charged twice for one breakfast. 3. Room and bathroom were very small. 4. I do not enjoy your staff sneaking additional charges on and then having to chase a refund. 5. Stayed in a hotel earlier in the week for 1/3rd of the price and enjoyed superior (a) value for money, (b) quality of food, (c) customer service, (d) size of room.
Parking Organisation Attirude of staff to customers Comfort
location and site and facilities Room quite tight on space but otherwise very comfortable
Reception experience was very slow ......card reader timed out and declined card too....had to wait for someone to man the reception to check out at ten to 7... Additional charge of £3.00 for paying by credit card is a rip off on top of £150+ for the room Breakfast additional £15.95 on top of high room rate is excessive
The bar food was totally over priced. Rooms not very quiet.
The kettle in the room was greasy dirty. When we took it to reception, the receptionist was not apologetic and shrugged her shoulders. When we checked in, 168 the coving was very dirty, it appeared like a water leak. We went to reception, this was late on 27th, referred to our booking requests for a good view, instead the room faced the road. We were basically told the computer would not allow us to change rooms by Antonella. Peter then tried and by 11pm we moved into the room next door with the same view.
Everything. Breakfast buffet was just spot on! Amazing choice & great quality! Staff were friendly, helpful at all times. Spa facilities were great, restaurant was superb & good value especially considering it's a "in house restaurant" Location to Ascot, Windsor & near by areas was perfect! A wonderful place for a long weekend get away. Can't wait to go back for another stay!.
