Staff great. Brekkoe was ace. Superb value for money. Will use again when we come back to Bike Park Wales.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Nice food in the restaurant.
Walls and floors very thin so sound travels and you can hear people walking along the corridor or moving around in the next room.
Liked the staff who were very friendly. The carvery was excellent so was the breakfast. The hotel in the evenings has a nice family atmosphere with people enjoying themselves. Always somewhere to park the car and an excellent location for the Brecon Beacons.
I cannot recall anything I did not like.
It is a good place to stay. We have stayed there several times and have always enjoyed our stay
Very easy to find, very friendly staff ideal being able to get an evening meal and a drink without leaving the hotel.
Parking was a bit tight, there was obviously a private function going on that evening so could not park to begin with and had to move the car gone 11pm. and then managed to squeeze in between two vans.
Good beds, plenty of room, excellent catering.
Not one thing.
Very friendly staff. Even the late night bar man was a quality chap. Good breakfast and lots of choice
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was extremely good value for money and of a high standard. A very comfortable bed and a clean room with smart decor. Bar prices were very fair considering it was a hotel. An excellent location in which to explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons nearby. An extremely enjoyable experience all round and I would have absolutely no hesitation in staying at the Bessemer hotel again or recommending it to my friends and family.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. My friend needed directions and the member of staff was brilliant.
Clean tidy and welcoming.
Very creaky floorboards
Room was good size with new bathroom and great shower. Restaurant was very good with individual cubicles and thought the bell system was great. Staff very helpful and very well organised management of the hotel in general.
Noise from other guests mainly due to doors slamming shut because they don't have silencers on them. Was woken up at 4 am by inconsiderate guests who were talking at the top of their voices and slamming door numerous times. The bath had no bath mat which when you have a bad back is very necessary to avoid slipping. Also no hand rails.
Food very good, room very clean and fresh. I would definitely stay again
Friendly staff. Large, comfortable room. Located safely away from traffic jams.
It was difficult to find despite satnav. Unmanned reception on arrival so hard to get in and get attention. Decor of the bar and breakfast area not welcoming.
comfort and friendliness
location within Merthyr T.
Carvery was awful - warmed up and dried up.
One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was the propsect of being able to get a hot meal on arrival at the advertised carvery or grill. However there were no restaurant facilities available on arrival on a Sunday evening about 7pm. I was told that the restaurant closed at 6pm. This information was not provided on any details of the hotel on accomodation search websites. The guest information in the room suggested that meals were available up to 9pm. The hotel was not situated close to any alternative restaurants.
Booked this hotel and turned up within 3 hours. It was 22.00 hours when we arrived and the staff friendly and gave our key and we went to our room. The room was large and clean. There was a lost of space to put bags and hang clothing. There were tea and coffee with kettle and a hair dryer. There was a trouser press also and TV. Bathroom has is very nice with large head shower. The breakfast was included in the room and this was very nice and eggs cooked to order. Overall it was a nice hotel and worth the money and located near to Brecon Beacons for walking.
The hotel is just off the heads of the valleys road & realy easy to find. The brecon mountain rail road is just about 2 miles up the road. Our room was clean & of a good standard check in was smooth & we were allowed to check in early as we had to be at the church by 2:30. We had a fulll breakfast on Sunday morning wich was of a good standard & well presented.
There was not anything to complain about realy we were more than happy,!
Loved the warm atmosfere created by the staff Excellent value for money Cozy room with every thing clean and functional
Friendly staff, quiet area, clean, location easily accessible by car (though about 2 miles from centre of Merthyr Tydfil)
Combination of thin walls & squeaky floorboards meant I could hear every footstep from the next room. Not a big selection of places to eat within walking distance: Chinese takeaway and (good) Indian restaurant.
Staff &food very good
Room was very modern and clean. Easy to find and lots of parking. Food was basic but good value.
everything great service, food, clean and well priced...nothing not to like about this amazing family run hotel...!
Good overall ambiance, rooms good and communal area's spacious. Meals and food all excellent and reasonable price
It was central. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was very good.
