Best Western Charnwood Hotel  

We stayed at this hotel as it was the location for a wedding reception that we attended. We were allowed to book into the room early so that we could change into our wedding outfits. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and we had a fantastic view from our room, overlooking landscaped gardens. Food and service excellent.

The smell of urine in my bath room and no soap in either dispensers rather spolit my stay here.

Having eaten in the lounge bar in the evening I was a little disappointed with the breakfast.It was a little rushed I also prefer tinned tomatoes rather than fresh and black pudding is far superior to hash browns. That said it was a good breakfast.

It took 6 hours to find a remote control for my tv!

Clean and tidy and food was good.

Although food was good we had a luke warm Pork loin in the evening and one of the breakfasts was cold the following day

The lady receptionist very friendly and pleasant and made our stay very enjoyable.

The staff accomodated for our needs when we arrived early. It was a pleasant experience

Room was very good. Was upgraded because no tv remote. Did have trouble with room card as it wasn't clearly marked which way to put in door lock.

Food - I only eat the breakfast but it was very poor. The basic cereals,juices, tea was fine. The coffee was awful and the cooked breakfast was awful couldn't eat it.

Charming room, nice facilities.

Corridors could use a decorating update. No ventilation in the room and the windows did not have a limit lock (ground floor) so I didn't want to leave them open overnight -- got rather stale.

Stylish and simple rooms, great breakfast.

Bathroom floor was filthy and covered in hair, first room we were sent to hadn't been cleaned.

The room was very clean on arrival.

The room was supposed to be a superior although it felt more like a standard. I was expecting a little more luxury for the money. Finishing touches were basic. Breakfast was expensive £12 pp and was nothing to write home about.
