Score from 72 reviews Very good
spacious room friendliness of staff
uncomfortable bed no blankets available in lieu of duvets paper thin walls between bedrooms
The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Very pleased they produced gluten free bread at breakfast.
The room was so hot
The bed was comfortable and it was good that you were able to control the temperature of the room yourselves
On arriving in room, found a pair of men's underpants on bathroom floor from a previous occupier, no soap in bathroom so had to use shower gel to wash hands after using toilet, breakfast served on cold plates so some items arrived not hot enough...
Stayed overnight following Xmas Works party at this hotel and cannot fault the hotel. Upgraded to superior double room and its the best we have stayed in for years both in UK and abroad. Large spacious room, great wardrobe space and luxury bathroom all at a great price. Even though there were two Christmas parties in the hotel there was no noise in the room at all.
Like most hotels the bar prices were a bit expensive.
Kept awake due to noice from function. Also to say it was supposed to be a superior suite i feel it was not Thank you
Quite room with a beautiful view.
Location and views. Outside nice restaurant spot on. Would come back again.
Rooms could do with more care cleaning and decorating. Ceiling and carpet. Stains.
Evening meal was very nice all fresh food with very big portions . Could of done with some music in the bar area tho as it felt very quite and uncomfortable to talk to my partner in there .
The shower was broken so could not shower and the aircon was very loud and could not have it on so room was very cold.
There was a water leak in the bathroom. The toliet role holder was broken.
Clean comfortable room and bed.
Waited 10 minutes before someone turned up with a glass of coke in their hand to check me in. No apologies. The hotel was very dated, really needs to be spruced up and staff trained on how to deliver customer service. They weren't rude but didn't really care that you were there either. Very thin walls so you can hear everything. I stayed on a week day and was woken up at five by a loud slamming door.
Was clean and comfortable
Breakfast (which we didn't have) was incredibley expensive
Every was great was a lovely day and night and breakfast
Restaurant meal was good room was comfortable.
wi-fi drifted on and off.
Clean and tidy.
Breakfast was like warm
The staff were very obliging. The food was really very good. Bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Bathroom was clean and a good shower over bath performance with good supply of hot water.
Needs an update in decoration and carpets, getting a bit shabby round the edges, otherwise no problems.
Some areas look a little tired
Beautiful grounds. Staff were friendly.
The bed was hard. The pillows were hard and flat as was the quilt. Decoration is tired and bits and bobs need mending
The Breakfast food and service were of a high standard and served in a good clean environment. I requested an upper level room via booking.com but that was a waste of time because on arrival I was offered a room on the ground floor which then meant I had to waste time, with little guidance of the hotel layout, declining one alternative room overlooking a car park before changing again for an upgraded room at the front but thankfully for the same booked room rate thanks to the helpful receptionist. Good landscaped grounds and pleasant dining room interior. Bathroom facilities were good with a powerful shower.
My room door closer needed adjustment because the door to my room didn't close shut properly.I didn't notice this until the following morning.I reported this to reception but it didn't get fixed! The carpets are a let down in places and so are the highly visible scuff marks on the paintwork of entrance doors etc which is a bit disappointing and unnecessary,as they seem to be easily rectifiable issues for the housekeeping and maintenance team leaders to keep on top of?
staff very helpful nothing was to much trouble for them
Quite location just off the A1 with nice surroundings. Comfortable room at a good price. Nice to find a hotel that still provides biscuits which was a nice touch.
loved the place, a good sleep and comfy rooms in a country setting
The wifi was poorly, had to sit next to reception. Site requires commercial cisco routers and no netgear home kits.
The food in the bar/restaurant area was first class and excellent value. The young staff were all excellent - nothing was too much trouble and all seem to be enjoying serving the customers
The mattress was a bit saggy but too tired to care.
Very good customer service particularly the Restaurant Staff
I thought the price of the breakfast a little excessive at £11.90 so I did not bother with it.
reception staff very friendly and helpful nice clean room
shower room 37 not hot enough could not turn up the heat, not fridge in the room as was stated there was
Free Wifi Restaurant food good Room clean
Bed very soft and dipped in middle Hotel dated and in need of update Reception staff could be more alert to people standing at reception
