Staff good , food good, room good (great shower) Breakfast good. Quite location (but convenient for M6) Free wifi Free parking Would stay again
Being on a golf course makes the hotel slightly isolated from shops and pubs etc.
Welcoming staff, Large room well appointed with a 6ft bed. Cleanliness, roaring fires. Lots of seating- a residents lounge and a games room. The food in the bistro is simple fare but nicely cooked and served. The breakfast buffet was good. There is a more formal restaurant but we did not eat there. Lovely 18 hole golf course on site.
Everything - great hotel
Room was lovely and bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast.
Room was a bit too hot.
Very peaceful location, very pleasant staff. Relaxed atmosphere and quiet comfortable room. A good base for exploring Lancashire.
Food on Saturday night was a bit disappointing. Sunday lunch was better. Relatives staying at the same time had a disturbed night due to stag party.
very friendly staff and very good food and a very clean and comfortable room
Helpfulness and quality of staff; lovely location
Restaurant was closed - wedding reception. Cooked breakfast was tired ie out too long
The food room grubby sticky doors and carpets
the setting and quiet, the spaciousness of the room and the helpfulness of the staff.
the food could have been better.
Couldn't believe how lovely this place was as I drove up the drive. Reception very friendly, room great, bed extremely comfortable. Clean and a kettle in my room. Very quiet. This was cheaper than the Premier Lodge and included breakfast. Would love to return.
Absolutely nothing. This was booked in the morning as I needed to dash up to see friends due to illness. I loved it.
Staff were amongst the best I have come across in many years
Staff very friendly and welcoming, made us feel like important guests! Breakfast lovely and fresh. Views lovely Good Location Comfy beds Clean spacious rooms
Room hot as no A/C and window only quite small considering the size of the rooms, however it was a hot day in summer. Price is slightly high for the standard of hotel, but I guess you are paying for the golf club facility, which we did not use and were not interested in.
nice hotel with good sized rooms in same building as the club house. Nice relaxed atmosphere Golf Course available Golf range available Good food (only did bar snack this time) Good breakfast
No gym on site but agreement with local ymca
It was near to everywhere and garstang was lovely
I thought the hotel could do with a face lift and a lot more going on in it
The room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. It was quiet with no nuisance noises. The service at breakfast was good and there was a good selection on offer. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would use this hotel again.
Only downside was a wedding was taking place which meant that the restaurant wasn't open for service so ate out locally.
The hotel has a quiet rural location adjacent to its own golf course. There is a nice flat walk along quiet lanes to a nearby canal. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were good and the friendly staff were efficient and helpful. There is ample parking shared with the gold club. The price (off-season) was excellent value.
An excellent place to stop overnight within easy access of the motorway system but in a quiet and secluded setting. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room was very clean, comfortable and well laid out.
Large, comfortable room that was spotless. Function facilities were very good. Very obliging staff made the stay very enjoyable. I was impressed .
The breakfast and, for the most part, helpful staff.
The WC flush not easy to use. Room cleaning lacking on last day.
The Hotel was everything you would want in a place while staying away. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms spotless and large enough and well equipped. Dinner and breakfast were faultless as well. An ideal weekend break. Highly reccommended.
Everything except the opposite.
Radiator not working in room 28. It did not really matter on this occasion as we were reasonably warm, Immediacy of scalding tap water. We noted the warning, but even so, it took us by surprise.
The setting Ease of booking in and out
bath/shower too wobbly!
Well-equipped and efficient in line with Best Western standards and everything worked fine. Pleasant staff who knocked something off the bill as compensation for the disturbed night.
Not recommended if there is a wedding on - even with a room at the far end of the first floor beyond three fire doors we were disturbed by returning guests at 1.30 A.M. and earlier in the evening by drunken behaviour in the corridors. While I did check whether a wedding was taking place when booking I was told we would not be disturbed as the function suites are in the other wing. Not true!
The staff were great, the breakfast was excellent and everything was very clean.
I had a blinking light in my room which annoyed me a little bit.
