The best thing about this hotel was the food. It is a three star hotel but the food was above this level in my opinion. The noise from the room refurbishment next to ours (workmans radio mainly) and anyone who wanted it rise rather later than we did, would not have been happy. We were unable to receive bbc Tv and radio channels through the tv for half the time ( the radio all of the time). As this was almost certainly an aerial fault and was obviously known about, it should have been corrected. At the risk of being someone who expected too much, I thought our Superior room was just a touch disappointing. It was ok but I'm not sure Superior is a word I would have used.

Very clean and comfortable.Close to town and beach. Down side... residents come second to guests attending functions within the hotel.

The convenience for our purpose of staying overnight till we moved into our new home in Lytham. We found the bed mattress to be extremely hard and know you cannot please everyone (some preferring soft etc) so think it would have been better to have middle of the road firmness.

Friendly relaxed atmosphere , we were only staying one night but as the hotel did not have many guests we were 'upgraded' to a very spacious and comfortable room and were made to feel like important guests.- Breakfast was very good with relaxed and efficient service. We will return Lift could be bigger, but on the layout of the hotel it would require major works to do this, so adequate.

Friendly helpful staff, room very clean and the breakfast was excellent. For what we paid it was great value, the hotel is very spacious with great facilties if you have children, it had a snooker room a table tennis room and was set up with all the Wi gadgets, and a gym. I would have like a swimming pool , I believe the hotel is looking at putting a pool in . Would we stay at this hotel again? Yes we certainly will do when visiting family.

Staff... Fabulous Breakfast... Good Location... Fabulous Little things, a landing light that was on all night which shone through into our room which had a window without a curtain. I had to purchase a bottle of water from the bar at a cost of £4.30. Why not provide a bottle in the room? Afternoon tea.... Quite expensive so why not provide a couple of biscuits, minimum cost to hotel, maximum satisfaction for customer! Apart from this, we had a very nice stay.

Location More than a little dissappointed with Twin Room No. 105 - allocated - There was two patches of Damp ingress on opposite corners of ceiling. The Paper behind the curtains was peelin off the wall - The hair dryer mad available - there was no readily available sockets to "plug-in" - had to remove Kettle to allow operation.

The friendly helpful staff who provided an excellent service. The room was decorated in dark colours which made it feel smaller than it probably was.

This is the third time we have stayed in a sea view room at the Glendower and have found the stays perfect. The staff are courteous and friendly and the breakfasts brilliant. We would recommend this hotel.

Well worth booking the superior room, it was excellent and very spacious, slippers and dressing gowns included and a big bay window for the sea view. Breakfast was fantastic and served to your table which was a nice touch, however cereal, toast fruit etc was buffet style. Can't recommend this hotel enough, our stay was wonderful and all the staff very helpful and polite

Location and food excellent.Disappointed with the allocated room as its location had no outlook and therefore little ventilation. This made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. As it was just a stay of two nights we tolerated it.We had brought our sister and friend for a short break and their experience was better. I am returning to the Glendower with a group later in the year so hope all will be well.

The location within walking distance to shops and certainly on the flat for persons who are disabled,it is close to the beach for families with children .The area as a relaxing feel to the place and the hotel as all the facilities that people need.I would certainly recommend The Glendower to my friends. If i need to mention just one thing it is to say i found that to use the bath for showering purpose the bath surface was to slippery to stand in
