The room was nice just a little small. I would have been disappointed if I had booked a standard room as these were small and not nicely decorated for the price the executive suite is well worth it. The food was good with a limited menu. The majority of guests at dinner were on the groupon offer which seemed good value and a good menu to choose from. Breakfast was good buffet style full english and fruit etc. There is only one place to eat so lunch, dinner and breakfast in the same room. On the kings hotel website they advertise food is available in the sports bar however it is an unmanned bar where u simply carry your drinks or food from the restaurant.

The hotel had good facilities and was impressive on arrival. The size of the room was far too small and was very stuffy during the night, we had to open a window despite it being December! This meant we didn't have a great night's sleep.

The Kings Hotel has a nice pub. The hotel was looking a bit tired on the rooms. The wall paper was damaged and you could see some water damage on the ceiling. Sound insulation is terrible so if someone speaks on the corridor you can hear everything whilst you are in the room, which is not ideal if this happens in the middle of the night.

I stayed at the hotel 2 nights for a family wedding. I was very impressed by the food and service at the wedding breakfast... considering they were catering for over one hundred people they did extremely well and brought out hot meals that were delicious. The floor boards are very creaky in this old hotel which means that you hear other guests moving around. The rooms are small and without air conditioning or double glazing. I'd definitely check if there is a wedding going on as it cannot be fun for other guests when there is.

Nicely refurbished hotel. Nice and large room even if it was under the roof and can certainely be very hot in case of hot weather. Cleanliness of room and bathroom. Very easy access to many places I had booked a twin room. When I arrived, I was told :"there is no twin room at present", I insisted to get what I had booked. They gave me a twin.

The Bistro food very good quality. And the staff there need to give lessons to hotel receptionist on manners and communication skills with clients. Hotel receptionist dead from the neck upwards, no direction given to get to our room.Booked exec room, it was so very small and walls black and brown fleck with snake skin leather headboard=== more like a " Bordello " ( not to say have ever stayed in one ) heating was not on so we had to put that on ourselves, it was minus 8c so it took a while to warm up. Most thoughtfull !
