Stokenchurch is a lovely village with very pleasant residents. However the Kings Hotel is a big let down to the area. If I were to return I would find better accommodation. It would probably be alot cheaper and cleaner.

We stayed one night for Garsington Opera – which is less than 10 minutes' drive from the hotel, making the location unbeatable if visiting Wormsley. The staff were really friendly and helpful, right from check-in. The breakfast was excellent, and good value.

Nice country style walk to Stokenchurch or The Dashford Arms in opposite directions along the A40. Chris' Cafe is a good truck stop style eatery with decent choices at decent prices.
