Lovely room with 4 poster bed, very spacious. Beautiful vintage feel to the hotel. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for town.
Bed matress was a little too soft for my comfort but slept well. Food in restaurant was a little disappointing - onion soup was too thick and inedible!
Wi-fi. Breakfast was substantial.
Pillows were poor. No air conditioning or fans.
Friendliness of staff
Hotel location on very busy through road with heavy commercial traffic from 5am daily.
location very good ,sleep quality very good' friendly staff ,breakfast was yummy
car park not big enough , shower water was only tepid not hot ,not enough staff to cope with amount of guests .cobwebs hanging down in bathroom only plastic drinking glasses in the room
Beautiful old building with character . Lovely staff , good atmosphere, good location in town .
very limited parking and clearly some guest had either very poor parking skills and should not be driving 4 wheel drive vehicle or didn't care they were parked across 2 parking bays. (perhaps both). The pay and display car park close by but getting up to pay for days parking before 8am after a night out tough .
Good location in centre of beverley
Breakfast greasy and mug in room not washed from previous guest so not able to have a drink in morning
Large, comfortable room, centrally located for easy access to town centre. Friendly and helpful staff.
Bathroom in need of re-furbishment - faulty shower. Broken chair in bedroom and unable to access wi-if from room.
Cleanliness Comfy bed Cost Position of the Hotel Pleasant staff
The dismal appearance downstairs Poor bar area Dark dinning room
cosy hotel central location very hospitable staff
would be nice to have cotton bedding
Beautiful garden-level twin room with two comfortable double beds, good ensuite Old world charm Excellent location
The food: Dinner on Sunday evening - perhaps usual chef off? - was a huge let-down: sirloin hunk first raw, then charred; carrots also in chunks, very unappetising. Breakfast tea far too strong, daughter ill for the day...
Close to town facilities. Friendly staff. Food was good. Breakfast included and excellent.
Wifi did not work unless you sat in the bar whereas it was promised throughout the hotel.
the staff very good and very friendly, the food was excellent
no lift (but the reception kindly moved us to a ground floor on arrival)
The staff were very attentive. love the cream scones.
The air fresheners were to overpowering. No disabled parking.
Large bedroom and comfortable bed, Food was very good, helpful staff
Spacious room Great bathroom King sized bed was very comfortable. Nice car park. Easy of access to town and facilities. Friendly helpful staff.
The UHT milk was unpleasant. Only one pack of biscuits for two people! The cups were difficult to hold without burning your fingers as they got vey hot with liquid in. The plug-in air freshener circulating in hallways and stairs was vey overpowering at times.
The hotel is quaint and probably needs a bit of a redecorate....BUT the staff more than make for that. They were lovely.
Good and friendly staff. Very helpful. Lovely situation in central Beverley.
Room was a good size but we did pay extra for a larger room
We arrived at 4.30pm to check in to be told our room wasn't ready we had to wait 30 mins while the man from reception prepared our room. Bed was soft sunk in the middle. Tried to get a drink from the bar took us 20mins to find a member of staff to serve us. There was only one member of staff to do everything. There wasn't much choice at breakfast.
Position of the hotel in the centre
The smell through the corridors leading to our room wasn't very nice at all. There was a smell of something like drying plaster or wallpaper paste. It was very strong and unpleasant.
Food was excellent. Room was spacious and clean and comfortable. Location very good for the town.
Friendliness of staff. Quality of breakfast. Speedy move to a different room when requested. Overall, excellent value for money. Will definitely book again via booking.com.
Price of bar drinks high. Typical hotel prices!
In an excellent location, the staff were very friendly, the hotel clean and the room spacious with a fast internet connection. Free parking was provided, though on a first-come-first-served basis.
Given the general quality and appearance of the the room, I was surprised by the poor quality of the bed which was clearly old and lumpy! The chairs in the dining room, which may have had an attractive antique look, were similarly very uncomfortable to sit in. Though the biggest disappointment for such a hotel was the breakfast. Preferring a continental option, this was very meagre and in this day and age I was particularly shocked by the instant coffee on offer, it being necessary to pay a surcharge to have a 'speciality' (or real) version. Think they might need to look around and see what other chain hotels are offering, and for less...
