Only a minute from the A74(M) motorway, The Annandale Arms Hotel offers an award-winning restaurant and comfortable, modern rooms. It offers hearty, Scottish breakfasts and a private courtyard.
Score from 62 reviews Fabulous
This small country inn is situated in the centre of Moffat, a former spa town where national bard Robert Burns was one of the many visitors who came here to take the waters.
Score from 251 reviews Superb
This unique and friendly hotel dates back to the 1700s. It offers good home-cooked food, free Wi-Fi and 8 refurbished en suite rooms. Star Hotel Moffat is only 20 feet wide!
Score from 85 reviews Very good
Cottage was very comfortable, everything you needed, food in the hotel was excellent, drink was pretty cheap for a hotel.
Couldn't pick up the free wifi in the cottage,
Restaurant wax the best feature
Wifi not working until I got the staff to reboot it
Location was great, right in the centre of town. Access to lovely walks too
No heating or hot water both mornings. Had to get maintenance to fix things. Web site said full Sky TV package, nonsense. Also the Wi Fi connection was bad.
The size and comfort of family room was brilliant
The guy downstairs snorning!! Pillows really uncomfortable
very friendly staff Great Breakfast
Went there for a weekend and i have to say that everything was great. Staff were very nice and made sure we are happy. Breakfast was amazing (I couldn't get up after eating it because there was so much of it (: ). The hotel was easy to find and it looks great inside and outside.
Very helpful staff and always cherful.
Weather was a disappointment but that's not the fault of the hotel or location. Meal helpings were a bit big for our elderly appetites - but meals very good.
Room 10. Nicely decorated. Excellent bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant was good. Tea/coffee-making facilities in room much appreciated.
Room 16. Small bed. Tiny bathroom sink. Shabby room. Room 10 had thin duvets with no extra blankets. Had to put coats over top of duvet to give enough warmth for sleeping.
Beautiful large room, 4 poster , nice furniture, fabulous large bath, nice staff, i could go on .. just couldnt fault the place
maybe and im pushing it a bit here they could stock vegetarian sausage for breakfasts alternative.. although they were happy to cook what we took with us
The bathroom was very cold
Excellent service as usual. Lovely people and extremely helpful. We go back every year and the staff and people of Moffat go out of their way to make you stay a happy one.
We go every year... Never had a bad experience.
When we was leaving.
Don't stay there unless you don't mind 1960 decor.
The cleanliness and comfort in the hotel, I found all staff to be courteous and helpful with any qyeries
Bar menu was a little bit limited, maybe this may change in season.
Location. Not much atmosphere.
Room was a little small, but adequate. Apparently this was their smallest room.
excellent staff; breakfast was good and the night porter was very obliging when the bar had closed; nice room for breakfast
The breakfast was lovely and main building seemed nice.
The room we stayed in was seperate to the main building and was not to the same standard. Very dated, bathroom in poor state.
Service was impeccable. Bedroom was a little tired but huge... the bed itself was also huge and very comfy. Open fire and great selection of drinks available at the bar.
No background music or TV in the bar area so it was a little quite atmosphere wise. Moffat itself is extremely quiet... there were a few hotel bars on the 'High Street' but they were really rough. Wouldn't recommend any other than the BW hotel bar. Only 2 restaurants to choose from in Moffat - both were fully booked.
Lovley cottage, well kept ,great location. I would come back again .
Slight dog smell,poor wifi,expensive drinks.
This hotel is imposing from the outside yet has a comfortable feel and is reasonably priced if you book in advance. The breakfast was excellent.
I needed to ask for the wifi to be reset
Location and ease of parking
No lift to second floor Not enough pillows
Size of room, Location and off street parking
Poor access for pram to family room 21, as was up 1 flight of stairs
Close to A74M
Excellent service in the restaurant, prompt and pleasant welcome.
Tired decor in the bathroom - the shower head had been left in a position which meant I got drenched when I turned it on!
Every thing was just pure pleasure and the staff very helpful
There was nothing tp dislike
