Good value for money and excellent menu for the money No fault of the hotel, but there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke on the 2nd floor, which drifted into my room sadly. I appreciate this is not the hotels fault; obviously another guest not respecting the no smoking regulations. I reported it to reception

Nice comfortable atmosphere, clean, friendly, all that you need. Breakfast service was excellent, great for business stays, in fact the fastest waitress service I have possible ever experienced with a really good breakfast (I..e no compromise on quality). Would definitely stay again. Nothing to dislike unless you can sort the weather out.

Very comfortible and very convenient for my business trip. Friendly staff and very helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel as other arrangements had been made for us but speaking with other guests they told us that the food was very good and very good value.

Location Atmosphere Interested and competent, friendly staff Breakfast food, and efficiency of server No fuss Other guests slamming room doors shut. My suggestion is a notice inside each room's door requesting consideration for others by maintaining as low a noise level as possible. A reminder that the door handle should be held until the door is shut, then clicked gently into a locking position, would benefit many other guests. Can you not have a more cheerful voice in the lift ? This is a small point, but can give a poor (if false) first impression of the hotel.

Good standard of accommodation which was very well maintained. Helpful staff and warm greeting on arrival. Breakfast in the morning was of a good standard and the cooked selection delivered to the table was fresh and piping hot. It was between 10.30am and 11am when I returned to my room after breakfast only to find that the room swipe card had already been deactivated? Friends in another room suffered the same experience. Inconvenient when the cards had to be reset twice before they would work, involving trips back down to reception each time. Minor point but one worth picking up on.

The food was fantastic! 3 course evening meal for £10.00 and really speedy service. Breakfast was great too - huge servings kept us going all day! The only thing was our room and the hotel as a whole was very warm! Had to open a window to sleep as turning down the radiator didnt have much effect! Would still stay in the hotel another time though.
