Very friendly staff
Quilt was a double size for a super kingsize bed!
Modern decor. Clean and fresh. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast Night porter (Alan) is a credit to the hotel!
Shower was over-complicated. Took a while to warm up. Room was small but adequate. Bar service was limited after 12 (no spirits available) even after we were told the bar would be open on our return from our function elsewhere. No big deal, just annoying.
Lovely hotel. Comfortable bed. Good parking. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and lots of it. Dinner in restaurant was fantastic.
Accessible room was down 6 stairs!!! Central heating didn't work, so room was very cold (January). Received a reduction on the bill so was quite happy in the end. Noisy girls returning from hotel party at 2am but staff sorted this out when we rang them.
Our stay would have been excellent because of the staff and the food was second to none.
But the mattress in Room 7 was the worst we have ever had to bear. It was brick hard and you could hear springs making the noise springs make all night. All in all the most important thing about our stay was a good nights sleep and that was completely impossible
good sized room food very good
breakfast very erratic no staff about when we came down food was good but had to wait for it to be replenished
Everything was good
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Good value restaurant
Bedroom lighting a bit dim
Nice hotel with pleasant staff.
The lighting the the room was just too dim, I couldn't work in my room so had to set up a work area in the bar which was far from ideal. There was barely enough light to pack my bag. The shower pressure was very poor.
Everything was A1 had a fantastic break 1. Food was excellent. 2. Room was comfortable. 3. Facilities including the pool etc... We're spot on.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Excellent value Quiet location Helpful staff
Poor lighting in room
Staff are really friendly Great location Good spa facilities Good parking Great accessibility for both major cities
The room we were allocated was slightly small but adequate for our needs. Breakfast room could have done with some back ground music
Warm friendly welcome. All we needed as we just needed base from which to visit family.
This could have been hotter, both mornings plates were cold and what should have been hot food was cold.
Friendly staff, great spa and beauty salon and lovely decor throughout hotel
Only place to eat was in the hotel....couldn't find any local restraints. Room we had was tiny (room 8)
Nice room,warm and excellent staff
Excellet breakfast. But spoilt a bit by being served on cold plates
Thought the hotel was excellent, lovely, friendly staff and exceptionally clean and tidy. Not far from the motorway but sufficiently quiet.
having to leave!
Staff were lovely.
Room out dated and shabby. Nothing like the pics.
Friendliness of Staff Good Price Close enough for business commute to Glasgow. Good Parking
Bar area lacking in atmosphere. Bar menu limited and not over apetising. Bar Food Quality was average but ok. Bathroom was small (especially the tiny wash basin) but adequate.
Liked leaving in the morning.
Paid £116.00 for a "deluxe double" room? It was no wayyyyy a deluxe room!! Nor was it worth £116.00!!!!! The bed was so uncomfortable and the room Was completely bog standard!! If it had cost anything between £30 to£50 I would have accepted the standard of this room. To label it as Deluxe is an absolute sham! I am so disappointed with our stay as I have been wanting to try this hotel out for a wee overnight for months and have previously contacted the hotel about booking a suite. Glad I didn't.
the room was lovely and well decorated. It was clean and modern. Breakfast was lovely aswell
Comfortable bed clean and crisp bed linen, decent food, pleasant staff. Over all good value. Spa available but sadly as only overnight no chance to use it.
Room decor very worn and tired. Understand rooms are being updated.
Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. The reception, bars, dining areas and the function suite were really nice. The function suite was set up for a party when we were there and it looked great. The food was good, the breakfast in particular and there was plenty of it.
We were there as a family group of 7 women for my mothers 80th birthday. Three of us shared a family room which was extremely small. We were constantly tripping over one another. It was very much in need of updating. The bathroom had been modernised but not to a good standard. The end bath panel was hanging off and the toilet seat was not fixed properly. There was nowhere to sit your toiletries when using them other than the floor, or balanced on the side of the bath. There was only one tiny wardrobe and one set of drawers, for a so called family room it was totally inadequate. The other rooms were also very small and the lighting was terrible, very dim. I don't mind soft lighting but it was a bit ridiculous. The carpets in the hallways were covered in stains and looked filthy.Definitely not worth the money we paid.
Excellent breakfast and dinner. Very comfortable bed
Great price for a nights stay in a spacious and comfortable with great facilities in a quiet location
Needs power showers
