All the Staff were friendly polite and extremely helpful...!!!
The Pop In Jay Hotel overall was very nice other than the ROOMS...they have a long way to go with their refurbish program. Apart from our rooms being old and tired !!! Silly things like the bedsheets had holes and marks on them, very OFF putting...!!!
Staff were excellent, good bar and food was brilliant
Friendly and helpful staff, spa pool was good and the food at breakfast was plentiful, though pastries could go early
Location was good for my needs as close to friends and family, although room at front did have traffic going by. Good wifi and easy set up. Parking ok.
Room had strange smell. In the original part of building and windows not easy to open, so unable to air. Not yet refurbished room and should really be a single At breakfast was sat at a table by staff but did not have the breakfast explained and we were not offered tea or coffee - while we were there no one was offered tea or coffee, each guest had to stop the staff and ask
Staff, food and hotel generally were all very good. Definitely recommend to others.
The pool and jacuzzi area and the gym were nice and we enjoyed our relax in there before dinner.
The room was tiny - as soon as you opened the door you were confronted with the side of a wardrobe and had to manoeuvre through the door one at a time. The room was under the eaves and therefore there were plenty of banging heads opportunities. With such a room it is vital to paint it in nice light colours and use light wood but everything was dark and it made for a very unappealing bedroom. We did not get a good sleep in there. Also the service in the restaurant for dinner was very slow and we didn't get the sauce we ordered for the steak nor were we offered any dessert or coffees. It was a really disappointing experience when I had been looking forward to this night away for a long time. We won't be going back
EVENING FOOD GOOD FACILITY,S GOOD
NOT A VERY GOOD SERVICE AT BREAKFAST DUE TO RUNNING OUT OF HOT FOOD SLOW SERVICE FOR TEA ETC WAS ONLY 1 GIRL LOOKING AFTER EVERYONE
The room was ok, food was ok, the breakfast waitress on 1st morning was lovely, leisure facilities good, lovely grounds and superb seating areas inside and outside
The bathroom in room 29 is in need of refurbishment, lights not working in bedroom, very poor wifi in bedroom,
staff were very friendly. Free WiFi. Location good.
Room needs a refurb as it was quite worn. WiFi was slow at times.
Dinner was very good and service exceptionally pleasant..
Bedroom was very small and not particularly attractive
Great spot in the heart of the Clyde valley. We just did one night passing through and found the location to be ideal. Room was spacious and the hotel overall was in good shape. Definitely a great option for a stay in this region.
Bed mattress was uncomfortable, that's never a good thing. If I had planned to stay more nights I may have considered moving elsewhere. Understood however that the next person my have found it to be ideal.
Breakfast was excellent and very pleasant staff.
Friendly welcome from receptionist Food great In the spar, the gym instructor provided a higher chair for my father
I walked into the sloping ceiling, Which was my fault.
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was great for breakfast. We were upgraded to a Suite the last evening as we said we expected more of our allotted room due to the amount we were paying because of the Games. This was welcome a room 23 is to be avoided and is in dire need of refurbishment! especially the bathroom!
Room 23 has a terrible bathroom in dire need of refurbishment. We spent 4 nights there in that roomand were allowed to switch to a suite. I have stayed at better Travelodges than Room 23. When we were upgraded to Room 11 it was a lovely transition, but there is no Wi Fi in Room 11!!
Comfy rooms, excellent staff and great facilities
Wifi did not work in our room, only in the hub areas.
Easy access to trains into Glasgow Spa and gym good quality equipment and warm pool Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return.
The family room which was two excellent rooms which could adjoin. The pool area + the helpful service there. The quality and variety of the food available. The overall excellent quality of the service.
We were attending the Commonwealth Games and the location was perfect for travelling to Glasgow SECC from a nearby station. Kids loved the swimming pool and the breakfast was really good.
'Deluxe Family Room' we had booked didn't have bunk beds in a separate part of the room for our kids (age 6 and 8), as per the photo shown on the website to illustrate this type of room. Instead, we had a double bed and pull out sofa bed in one fairly small room - not ideal for a family of 4 with kids who really don't want to sleep in 1 bed together!!
Staff couldn't have been more helpful, in every part of the hotel. Restaurant food was delicious, spa was clean and facilities were great. Would highly recommend!
The helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. Good selection of foods for the breakfast buffet. Very friendly and relaxing environment.
The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us, the food was also excellent. Despite my comments of the things we didn't like, I would still recommend this hotel, purely because the staff are so attentive and lovely. I just hope they are able to maintain it better and not charge families so much for a deluxe room when it isn't.
The maintenance and quality of the rooms was a disappointment. We paid for a deluxe family room and were therefore expecting that. There wasn't a sofa bed as described but two fold up beds, one of which was broken and we had to request another. There was no lock on the ensuite door, just a hole where it had been, and sockets were broken or coming off the wall. Beverages and biscuits were only left for two people but there were four in our room. Lastly, it was July when we stayed and very warm We were unable to open our windows at night due to there being a noisy generator right outside our window. Hence we were left disappointed that we hadn't had the value for money and luxury accommodation we were expecting.
Breakfast kippers were excellent, and staff on reception very welcoming. Easy parking also a benefit.
Room was fusty and smelt of damp(all windows open when we got there on a not particularly warm day should have alerted us!). Also prices inflated due to commonwealth games.
The friendliness of the staff
Initial room booked had no ventilation so we were moved with no problem however the room we were moved to was a bit tired and old fashioned
Staff were all very helpful & pleasant to talk to. The food we had was lovely. Rooms although ours was on the small side it was clean, comfortable , great shower.
Cant think of anything..
The room and bathroom are tired, in need of renovation. Overpriced , as it was during the Commonwealth games. Transport to Glasgow is not easy or fast...
