The staff were friendly and keen to help all the time We thought the restaurant was disappointing. The food was disappointing and so we ate out after our meal the first night. Also our booking did not go through with you but fortunately they had rooms |

The staff were friendly and the room was of a good size. The central location meant it was easy to walk round the town. Even with the position the room was quiet. |

The room was lovely,the internal decor of the pub was really olde worlde,i love old houses and this was great to me.The courtyard was nice to have a relaxing drink in. Getting back in after being out late could be better,you are ringing the bell and not knowing if anybody is hearing it or if it is working, Maybe a keycard system like the rooms,or a keypad entry system which i have had at other hotels with a combination would be better. |

Staff very welcoming. Hanging plants in the forecourt. Breakfast was excellent. Bedroom was well furnished. Our bedroom overlooked main street. On the Saturday night we stayed it was incredibly noisy until 3am with drunken youths at the pub opposite the hotel. Didn't get much sleep. |

The room was spacious and very clean. The location was ideal for visiting Salisbury Cathedral and the city. The fact that the hotel does not have any parking was a problem. The short stay lot at the rear of the hotel only allowed a maximum of a 5 hour stay outside of the overnight hours of 6:00p.m. to 8:00 a.m. |

Nice atmosphere, lovely rooms and comfortable beds - not too soft like many hotels. Very friendly staff. No real negatives. The food looked good but was fairly average. It was noisy overnight on the street outside but it was nice and quiet with the window shut and it didn't get too hot and stuffy. |

The food, staff and entrance quartyard and comunial rooms were spectacular. The room accomodations were terrible Our room. There were toothbrush and tooth paste stains from the last person using the room. Old dirty soap holders which weren't cleaned. Dirty shower curtain, stains on the floor, old molly plugs where shelves once were. At least the linen was clean. However I felt like I was staying in a cheap youth hostle. Even the mattress was old. We stayed in room number 64. I would seriously have to see my room again before I decised to stay at this inn again. I really do like Best Westerns. You have a very good reputation and I've stayed with you before however I would advertise this Hotel as being one of your if I were you. The quartyard, restaurant, and lounge area downstairs were exquisite but the room which we stayed in was disgusting. |

Generally the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel courtyard is very pleasant in the sunshine and the antique furniture is a nice touch. I presume the rooms are individually decorated/furnished ours was not what you would expect in a hotel chain, in a very good way. The night porter was a bit of a grouch which was very unlike all the other staff and let down their over-all score considerably. |

The very lovely interior of the hotel and the cute courtyard where we always had a nightcap. It was cosy and country-like, yet in the middle of town. Very comfortable beds, wonderful restaurant with very friendly service. The slowest lift in history, but with only 2 floors we only used it once. |

location .Everything in the entrance to the room, the door & the frame had just been painted & was wet. Room smell made us ill at night. A tray from someones room service, w/ garbage, sat outside our room for at least 8 hours. Had just arrived from interential flight & wanted to take a nap. Noise from staff outside the door was unsettling.. In short " Quote the raven". |

Hotel was comfortable; staff at the front desk were extremely accomodating and helpful in obtaining directions to our next point. I made the reservations for two couples traveling together. Just curious why the other couple got the cool room with the medieval fireplace and I got the room with the stuffed lion. |

I visited with my teenage daughter. Hotel is in the centre of the town and close to everything. Cosy and authentic. Our twin double room was spacious and the bathroom was very nice. Our room faced a quite noisy street. Rooms that face the courtyard would be nice and quiet. |

The staff and the breakfast. The whole place is very tired and needs renovating. My room appears not to have been decorated for at least a decade. Incidentally with so many foreigners stayng there I think the proprietor could at least out of courtesy have the room/hotel guide with translated pages eg French.. |

the hotel is full of character and very warm and welcoming My partners dinner was not cooked properly, we sent it back but they ruined it. We complained and did not get charged for the meal, which was fair. |

Very helpful staff and the service was excellent. Food was generally delicious and good value for money. Breakfast great! The setting is delightful and right in the middle of town. A very nice hotel with well furnished room. It is not clear on the website that there is no parking for residents other that disabled. This meant having to haul or luggage about 300 metres from another our hotel park which gave us a very bad start to our RedLion experience. This should be made very clear at the start. |

We were impressed by the decor everywhere and the bedroom was so spacious and here too loved the decor. The hotel was ideally positioned in the middle of town. Reception staff were so helpful and a pair of glasses left behind were returned by post to us. I put comfort as good only because I like a soft matress and the matresses were firm. |
