I've stayed before as such a convenient location, with comfortable beds, spotlessly clean rooms and really friendly and helpful staff. The public areas have now been completely refurbished and the transformation is amazing - highly recommended!
The superb new refurbishment , polite attentive staff and of course, the new coffee lounge!
Good location. Nice building with plenty of parking.
Little bit pricey, tatty bed linen. Night receptionist was a bit dour when we were checking out.
Finding a hair in the shower.
Helpful staff, breakfast was excellent and everything was looked after by the waiting staff. Lovely looking hotel and would stay there again
No security safe in the bedroom
Staff were friendly Room was comfortable Bathroom clean and well designed
Even though there is a large car parking area it was difficult to find a space
Quality of breakfast was poor. We went for a dinner and presentation evening. The food was not to good
Quaint and quiet Good location out of city, but easy enough to get to by train, just be wary of road (see below)
Expensive for location No lift On busy road so hard to get in and out of with car, and if walking from station be careful, 'foot path' is in poor condition and you need to cross the road on a blind corner to access
Medium rare steak was very well done. £4.90 for a pint of beer is high even by 5star hotel standards. This hotel is only 3star. I prefer a double bed to singles.
Our stay was good with mist staff really nice
Receptionist while checking out a little abrupt
Location was good for us as at a local family wedding
Charged additional £10 per Z bed for the kids. No water in room, husband had to tell staff to give him a glass of tap water at the bar (said had to buy a bottle) no breakfast included - paid £110 for room - didn't see this as good value - rooms need updated but were clean.
The lounge was nice as usual with a Best Western
Inadequate parking, room was very poorly decorated, bathroom was very poorly fitted out. All in all, dramatically over priced. This hotel is set up as a function venue and not as a hotel.
It is only 3 minutes off the M25 and so there is no town traffic to endure
Room was comfortable and spacious. Clean. Good sized bathroom. Staff were pleasant and jovial in general.
No bar staff at times. Reception not clearly marked. Being hounded for supposed unpaid drinks weeks after when that is surely your responsibility before check out. Greatly dissatisfied at that part .
The hotel was being decorated, fire alarm false alarm at 8am. The smoke alarm in our room had a constant beep all night. We reported it to the desk twicw bu without much interest from them.
I found the beds very narrow, the pillows need to be replaced
Staff is very helpful
Location suited us Next to a very good pub Easy to find Staff - very professional and pleasant
Nothing to comment on.
Very charming and luxurious, and the staff were very attentive.
The decor was opulent but could be updated, the carpets were amusing!
John was excellent from breakfast to 1am!
Under staffed the first morning at breakfast. Way over charged for breakfast!
The cleanliness at a hotel which is reasonably priced. Good parking facility and comfortable bed. Thank you.
